He has won EVERYWHERE he's been. Ole Miss hasn't won the SEC in over 50 years. Tuberville wasn't exactly killing it there either, but he won the SEC and should've been in the Natty game.
Liberty isn't exactly a 1st choice for any recruit, but Freeze took what he could get an made a school that just recently jumped to FBS, into a winner. Keep in mind, Kiffin got fired from USC for his abysmal record and Orgeron took over and they started winning games. ORGERON! A guy who got fired at Ole Miss, and went on to win a natty at LSU.
If Freeze's past becomes an issue, I have no doubt he'll address it in a way that parents and the recruits will be placated. Afterall, he is currently working at super-Christian Liberty and his wife forgave him.

Yeah, should've closed the deal when the chance was there. Caddy's feelings wouldn't be hurt, he gets it.
ESPN mentioned retaining Caddy on staff was part of the discussion with the HC candidates. While I'm certainly not against that per se, it already sounds like some meddling is involved right out of the gate, which might've turned off some candidates...

Plus freeze won’t be a “will he or won’t he” every year needing an extension.

Hiring Freeze is embarrassing on two fronts. 1) he’s a piece of shite creep that no one would should root for. 2) it is completely settling maybe in the biggest coaching search of the schools history. Any other school could hired him and they didn’t.
