The two team captains consider themselves proponents of switching up the team’s traditional uniform look. Specifically, Pappoe and Hall would like the Tigers to turn back the clock and reintroduce orange jerseys for Saturday’s nonconference showdown with the Nittany Lions, considering the program is advertising the game as an orange-out — “All Auburn, All Orange” — at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
“We’ve talked about it a lot, but obviously Auburn’s very traditional and, you know, we can’t compete with that, but that’s definitely something that I would like to see,” Hall said Monday. “You know, just a little bit of changeup.”
According to Pappoe, some players have made their pleas to the equipment staff and coaches “a couple times,” even as recently as last season.
“That would be nice,” Pappoe said. “But Auburn’s really traditional, so I don’t think that’s going to happen. It would be sweet if that happens.”

Always thought it was weird how Auburn fans cover themselves in orange when there's like 1% of it on their team's uniform.

Great post! I did not realize the last time they wore the orange jersies was vs. UGA in 1980.

I always love to see people with this quote. A little bit of a change might as well be a lot of change. If you do that then you have a traditional uniform and an alternate.
When you don't do that you have just a uniform. Changing it up a "little bit" or "every now and then" still means you are bucking tradition.
Go ahead Aubs. Leave Bama as the only SEC school that has one home uni and one road uni.

These kids today care wayyyyy too much about being like Oregon in this regard. How about take the bama approach and just win on the field. Alabama never does this shite. The craziest thing I’ve seen them do is do a houndstooth backdrop on their numbers very very lightly.

If Saturday was a night game I would say no. The blue jerseys look great under the lights. Since it is a 2:30 game, I wouldn't have a problem with it.
