Texas being shitty hosts

Texas is 83-67 since Bama broke your QB and your team in the natty. That’s 8 games over .500 for you mathematically challenged Shorthorns.

I'm not sure it's the Texas fans who are mathematically challenged here

Actually, he's correct. There is a difference in "winning percentage" and "being over .500". Winning percentage is a snapshot against the record, while "games under/games over" is reflected against the totality of games played. If you adjust one side of games under/games over, you also have to adjust the other side to keep the total games played constant. Games under/games over is reflected against the midpoint of game wins vs games lost differential.

Take eight games and move them to the loss column so that their record would be 75-75... therefore, 83 games won against 67 games lost is in fact 8 games over .500.

So, you guys are finally seeing the real texas university?

Is it too late to say "I told your so"?

Wait until you see their personal valet OU.

I live in Texas and this is so true. I never bring up football but have to hear all the “crowing” about “UT gonna rule SEC” when people find out where in moved from. I just smile and make a mental note to ensure I see them next week.

I had no idea Texas was this bitch made. They will be dominated by A&M and Arkansas for years to come.
Texas will be playing an Alabama team at full strength. Death Star fully operational. Good luck

Going to say the same thing that was said to the sec fans when you let aggy in.

They are your problem now.

SEC teams are now only understanding exactly what texas is and what they bring. They are an embarassment to southern hospitality and truthfulness.

This isnt the 1st time and will not be the last. They will go to ANY extreme to game the system and take control.

Luckily they will have a very small voice as a SEC member.

Meh, this doesn't sound that egregious. The "Million Dollar Band" isn't even a notable SEC marching band, and plenty of schools put bands in undesirable spots.

But Texas is irrelevant. Their fanbase is corporate and plastic, their stadium sucks, their school is too big and unwieldy to have any major cultural influence on the SEC. They're a high end commuter school by any reasonable metric. They'll find they're an afterthought post-SEC just as they were in CFB before the move.

It is obvious most fans on here do not travel. Visiting teams will always have the worst seats. Especially since the divisions were formed.
The lower seating has been marketed for home season ticket sales by all the schools.
If you travel to away games it's a bitch sitting in nose bleed. It is not just SEC. Last year at Penn State the visitors are in the upper deck.

Odd. We put our opponents bands on the first deck in the southern end zone.

Texas is 2022 Phil Mickelson

Not in the same class as the players dominating the PGA tour, but making "F you money" to get beat up in an inferior league. Universally disliked other than by their dedicated fans. And they honor his FIGJAM nickname (F*** Im Good, Just Ask Me) quite well.

Sure, if you are low on you school's pecking order for distributing tickets, you're going to be relegated to the nosebleed seats even at SEC venues. But, unlike the Big XII and Big Ten (and probably the ACC and Pac-12), SEC rules require the home team to offer at least 1500 tickets in the lower deck. OU and Texas will have to make some changes (either shifting some season ticket holders or displacing some students) in order to meet this requirement.

Although that is the only written rule on visitor allotments, by custom, SEC schools have exchanged a lot more than the 1500 minimum. With less fans traveling nowadays, you don't see schools exchanging 8000 tickets as used to happen for some rivalries even a decade ago, but I think everyone will expect OU and Texas to come up with 5000-6000 seats for the visitors if they request that many.

For 2022, it's simple math ...

2022 Season Tickets, 63,000+
Single game tickets, ???
Student, 50,000+ (~1/2 to 1/3 buy sports package)
DKR capacity, 100,000-

Demand >> Supply, not including tickets for opponents (10-20,000?)

It will change when it has too, 2024 or 2025.

Section 130 & 131. Mostly for the band and support staff. The rest are nose bleed.

Alabama always puts the visiting band in the lower bowl, in the corner, at one end of the visiting bench. Every team that wants to bring a band brings one.

If I remember this, along with moving the student section, was one of the things A&M had to change when they moved to the SEC.

The SEC has pretty specific rules on how many seats have to be in the lower bowl and total visitor ticket allotment. Other conferences don't.

I am just under Scholarships, close to 40 plus years of donation. I get nice SEC Championship tickets and nice seats for the Natty, bowl games and a few away games. 1500 tickets will take care of the band, support staff, players family and the scholly donors. The rest are in the clouds.

Enough of us travel to know that for some schools, the allotment can be meaningless. Check out all the red in every section of this clip from Neyland. Georgia fans also took over South Bend.

If Quinn Ewers gets towed,

what are the campus cops going to do w/ cars w/ Alabama plates?

Wait 'til you see where you have to park, and how much?

Welcome to Austin!!!
