Yeah I didn’t understand that. Shouldn’t the clock start on the whistle?

Yeah I’ve literally never heard of anyone getting an untimed down in that situation where the guy stayed in bounds

The refs made FSU take a timeout to challenge a clearly in bounds player instead of doing a review

They created the rule that calling a timeout stops the clock until the ball is snapped? Interesting.

Not true. It wasn’t an untimed down. He explained they would have one play. Not untimed. Once the whistle blew, the clock would have started. If LSU didn’t snap it at the whistle, it would have ended.

I think the only thing the refs did wrong on the play was rule he was outta bounds.

Those refs were from the BDF and confused LSU with texas university. They were practicing for Alabama.

I saw that. Even the broadcast team said there should be a 3 second runoff. The "Auburn" rule as we call it Alabama. 2019 Iron bowl. The refs stop the clock to review the catch and didn't start it until the next snap which gave Auburn time to kick a FG. An officials timeout is one where once the ball is spotted the ref blows the whistle as he is standing over the ball and the clock starts. I thought they adopted a rule that said 3 seconds would run off but I guess not. Basically LSU got an extra timeout. They gotta get this corrected because its all over the place with different crews. That game should have ended when the receiver didn't score and his knee was ruled inbounds.
