Yeah I’ve literally never heard of anyone getting an untimed down in that situation where the guy stayed in bounds

The refs made FSU take a timeout to challenge a clearly in bounds player instead of doing a review

The TO challenge plus Norvell calling a timeout after the challenge effectively negated the running clock.

Not true. It wasn’t an untimed down. He explained they would have one play. Not untimed. Once the whistle blew, the clock would have started. If LSU didn’t snap it at the whistle, it would have ended.

They did the same thing before halftime in the 2019 Iron Bowl.

Gave Auburn an untamed down to kick a FG, they made it.

Auburn won by 3 points.
