With 10:00 to go in the last quarter, he turns it over on downs at the Indiana 1 while up 17–16, rather than take the points to go up 20–16. They end up kicking another FG later, and then with two minutes left in the game, Indiana gets the ball down while 16–20. Bert suffers his typical meltdown and Indiana scores to go up 23–20 with :23 left.

I had zero faith in that man to hold their last drive with two minutes left in the game. Could have been in OT right now

Typical prevent defense and let them march down the field. Indiana couldn't move the ball worth a shite in the second half but they backed off and let Bazelak look like Tom Brady

Nothing makes me more angry than that shite. Because you aren’t preventing anything If you just let a QB cook.

He did a pretty good job preventing his team from getting a W.

They don't care and if they did then he wouldn't have been hired.

I’m no Bert fan but I will say that going to it from the 1 yard line is thought to be the correct call in most situations. If you don’t get it, you’re at least leaving the other team with 99 yards to go.

Agreed. It's one thing if it was with 2 minutes left in the game, but there were 10. Going for it is absolutely the right choice there

It’s not the call. It’s the fact that a guy who prides himself on having a physical run first football team can never seem to figure out how to convert 3rd/4th and 1

Teams running out of the shotgun have a better short yardage conversion rate than Bert. He's just... soft. A team takes on the characteristics of their head coach and Bert is soft.

Just gonna say frick Bert. Got fat an lazy collecting huge checks from us. He would’ve been happy to ride out 7 win seasons for as long as he could.

He was even too lazy to get a real job after he got fired. Then sued us when we stopped paying for his vacation.

Morris was a worse coach but I don’t blame him like I do Bert. Morris was in over his head. I don’t blame him for taking the job, he at least put out an effort.

Talent wise, Morris actually left the program in better shape than Bert

Someone else said it. The thing I remember most about Bert was how many third- and fourth-and-ones ended up with no gain. Seemed like every one.

When Bert got fired, he had the nerve to say that he will leave Arkansas in better shape than he found it. No Bert you inherited some good players from the last few recruiting classes from Petrino and gave Arkansas the very first 0-8 in SEC play.

I actually feel like Morris got a pretty raw deal. He inherited a soft arse team and couldn't get it turned around with what he had IMHO. He obviously wasn't Sec HC material but he had a shite starting point for sure.

There was still enough talent here to beat N. Texas and SJS. He lost because the players hated him.

Honestly both are true. Morris walked into a bad situation and it didn’t help that he sucked as a coach

He also immediately alienated the players who were already there. He took a bad situation and made it a dumpster fire off the field and then turned out one of the worst coached teams for 2 years straight on the field. He recruited well but that's where the compliments stop.
