Alabama/LSU the best rivalry in college football between 2011-2020.

The best rivalry and most important in the country from 2011-2020 was Alabama/LSU. For most of those years LSU was the only program in the country who could match up physically with Alabama.

Yes, it was one-sided in outcome though most games were very competitive, and it was often the most important reg season game of the year. CBS sure thought so putting it in prime time every year from 2011-2020 except 2019. Gameday, as much as they hate to hype a CBS game, was there in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018 & 2019. The game had high stakes and was a great talent showcase with future NFL'ers all over the place. The whole football world waited each year with great anticipation for that game.

Yes, LSU has fallen off the map the last couple of years but the likelihood is that Kelly returns LSU as Alabama's top competitor in the SEC or at least the West shortly. UGA has now taken LSU's place as Bama's top SEC competitor to the throne since 2017. (It was Alabama/Florida from 2008-2010.)

Bama fans who say that LSU has never been a rivalry are either trolling or clueless. The program itself (admins, coaches and players) and most Bama fans have known that LSU was its biggest threat til recently.

(MO, obviously guessing, is that the 2013 and 2019 losses to AU were due in large part to psychological factors resulting from the LSU game, though for different reasons.)
