Aggie has only beaten Alabama 3 times in their entire history.

Twice in the last decade! Which is twice as many as LSU.

Surely you absolutely dominated LSU then.

Right?

It was the best games. Not the best rivalry.

No one really noticed because we weren't really historical rivals, there wasn't any real significance behind the results save a game or two, and because the Vols won most of them but from 2000-2018 the margin of victory between SC and the Vols was 7.

I believe for a while it was actually the closest margin of victory for any annual SEC match-up for a significant portion of that run. Not sure if it still is. The Vols have opened that up a bit by winning by 20 and 15 in 2 of the last 3 years but I think it's still well under 10 PPG.

Bama fans wouldn’t lash out so much at this if it wasn’t a rivalry. They know it’s a rivalry.

no its not. we won 2 games during that stretch. That is not a rivalry, that is an arse kicking, kind like what we do to Florida and jimbo and the forfeits.

Since 2000, LSU/Bama wins are 10/13.
LSU has won the West 5 times, Bama 8.
In each of those years, the winner of the LSU/Bama game won the division.
LSU has won 3 national championships, Alabama 6.
CBS featured game year after year.
The Saban factor.

By any measure, that is a rivalry.

Only on the LSU side. yea, there's been a couple games that had a lot on the line but no more than our games with UGA and even a few with Auburn. When Saban came to Bama it meant the world to LSU fans and CBS pushed the Saban narrative. If Saban had gone to Miss State yall would have a hard on for them. Bama's won 9 of the last 10 and all but a couple weren't close. Auburn has been a much bigger threat to Bama than LSU and that sux to say. Nobody in Alabama talks about LSU until the week of the game which is the polar opposite of Louisiana talking about Bama. It's totally a one sided rivalry which is why yall need to build up the A&M thing.

Check bama’s records against other sec teams

Bama-Auburn is easily the better rivalry though

No, it’s a great series and had been the most impactful series in the west in terms of toughest games on the schedule. But lsu and Bama are not rivals.

We won the NC when we beat them. How did you guys do after you beat them? Surely you wouldn’t have lost to LSU both times??!?

either close or a complete domination

In fairness, that is the history of the IB with AU catching the OVERWHELMING majority of the beat downs.

ATM has beaten LSU 2 times in that same time frame. Only a true Aggie would make a post this stupid given your absolute abysmal record vs the Tigers.

Aggie gonna aggie.

Always enjoy Aggies using Bama’s incredible success to pretend like they’ve had any

No other fanbase uses this in their posts more than LSU. The reason why you're not a main rival is because you guys didn't do jack shite before that year and the competitive history just isn't there. Try going back a few more years and see how those numbers shake out.

Bama fans will be trotting out the “muh 2000” line in 2100 while CFB has turned into a virtual game

The weird thing in the series is how the Away team success is higher than the norm.

But, it's not a traditional heated, lifelong rivalry for anyone over 40.
