Sorry, this wasn’t to anything in particular. Just supporting the general cause with this gif.

Are all terrorists Islamic radicals? No. Are most terrorist attacks related to radical Islam? Yes. And they have been for a while now.
FWIW I am decidedly not Team Thune, but it’s not because of these types of comments. We need not look further than our future VP.
SIAP. I did do a search, but might’ve missed.

A Federal Emergency Management Agency employee was fired after advising a survivor assistance team not to visit homes with yard signs that support President-elect Donald Trump during Hurricane Milton relief efforts in Florida last month.

In a statement on Saturday, FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell called the incident "reprehensible.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said he directed the state's Division of Emergency Management to launch an investigation into "the federal government’s targeted discrimination of Floridians who support Donald Trump."

"The blatant weaponization of government by partisan activists in the federal bureaucracy is yet another reason why the Biden-Harris administration is in its final days," DeSantis wrote on X

This guy is an a-hole

But I do appreciate that so many comments to his post call him out on his hypocrisy and being the fascist he claims to hate.
As blue as CA is, even they seem sick of the smash and grab “hey, the businesses have insurance so it’s okay” type of crime. The measure passed with about 70% of the vote.

This is from the LA Times

quote:

California voters on Tuesday approved a November ballot measure that will impose stricter penalties for repeat theft and crimes involving fentanyl, steering away from recent progressive policies that critics blamed for increased lawlessness.

Proposition 36 will make it a felony for someone to steal merchandise of any value after two previous offenses and can lead to longer jail or prison sentences.

The ballot measure also allows judges to sentence convicted drug dealers who traffic in large quantities of hard drugs, including fentanyl, or who are armed with a gun while trafficking the drugs to state prison instead of county jails. It will also create a “treatment-mandated felony” as a new category of crime, by giving some eligible drug offenders an option for treatment instead of jail time.

The measure undoes key parts of a 2014 ballot measure, Proposition 47, which voters overwhelmingly passed during a time when the state Democratic leaders sought reverse what they argued was an ineffective tough-on-crime era that swelled the state’s prison population to unconstitutional levels.

Supporters of the measure spent $16.23 million. Early funders included Walmart, Home Depot and Target. Others included the California Republican Party, which contributed $1 million. Mayors of big cities including San Francisco, San José and San Diego supported the measure, as did prosecutors and law enforcement leaders, including the California District Attorneys Assn. and the California Sheriff’s Assn.
The 2016 election skit he did right after the election was pretty solid. And one of the rare instances of SNL making fun of Democratic voters and their lack of self awareness.
I mean we were the only country to come out of WW2 economically and militarily stronger than when we went in. We’re still the strongest in that regard. Most of the major international institutions (I.e., the UN and NATO) were supported by and largely funded by the US, which is still true.

Plus the cultural influence from clothes to music to movies to food is unparalleled.

FIFY.
He's probably secretly celebrating. The only material his show has ever had has been Trump. Without it, I'm not sure what he'd talk about.

But NC did it with the governor, but that is a little more understandable than the senate.

The NC was more understandable with the GOP candidate getting outed on a message board calling himself a black Nazi that likes tranny porn.

I was told the huge and influential Puerto Rican bloc was going to swing this election for Harris.

FWIW I think it also shows just how shitty Biden’s admin was.

They seem more shocked and amazed at the red wave than melty. I think they knew it was coming deep down.

I think the fact that Trump dominated is what’s getting them. They probably expected Harris to win, if not, they expected it to be super close and were ready to talk about abolishing the EC again. Trump winning the popular vote and all these swing states is undeniable and they weren’t ready for it
The Electoral College
Supreme Court seat numbers
Supreme Court life service
DC Statehood
Even the Senate

These are all institutions Democrats have called for abolishing or making major adjustments to every time they lose. They always have an excuse and want to make major changes when it doesn’t go their way.
