It’s early. I may be a doom and gloomer. But this team does not look like a good football team early.

They look like shite on both sides of the ball

More screens than Menards.

If Schrader is our best RB, we’re in trouble.

Thought he recruited a good 4 star RB out of Texas.

OL didn't open up holes. That is why I am upset that some top OL recruits went elsewhere. Need to get those top Missouri HS recruits.

Considering Peat is dealing with some soft tissue issues(is that a bruise?), i think he looked very good. Schrader looks like a 3rd down back. Dominic Lovett looks great. Luther looks like a future star with a couple mistakes but some great potential. Cook looks like a solid option at qb with good wheels. Defense did a great job stopping the run and causing turnovers. Two busted passes for tds were the big disappointments. And mevis ate more this offseason. My two cents fwiw.

Need some DE pressure to help the safeties from being exposed on deep routes. We've recruited very well at DE, just need someone to break out, or Jeffcoat to get back to playing like he did 2 years ago.

This team continue to play like this game then it will be a long season and may only win 5 games. too many not very good plays overall and there were blown coverages. This isn't going to cut it in the SEC. Vandy may get the win over Mizzou.

At least they stopped throwing screens after I complained. Coincidence?
I never want to see another frickin bubble screen.

So yeah, the defense is obviously better than the offense and for only being “3 guys” on defense strangely we got contributions from more than “3 guys”
Lol

I think it was a solid opening game win for y'all. Yes, there were things that need to be improved on but hardly anyone looks like world beaters the first game of the season.

There was some positives and minuses in the game. I would give overall performance a B.
I thought defense looked much better than last year. I am a bit worried about the running game and Cook's arm.
That all being said, I feel comfortable going into K-state. Should be a good game and a true test of what the season holds.

I was at last year's opener against Central Michigan and last night.
Both games felt similar except I liked Brady Cook's command as a qb better. He doesn't have a good deep ball but he does have a better feel for the game than Bazelak. If he can game manage a-la Alex Smith, this team can do decent.

Week 1 is in the books with a win. Overall a solid effort.
Need to get ready for a tough opponent next weekend.

I don’t think the screens were the problem. It was like watching a high school QB deciding where he was going to pass before the snap and not looking off the defense. That was a problem with a lot of his throws. The WR’s were a lot more athletic than their DB’s and safeties and they were able to make plays. Cook had 18 completions and I don’t remember a pass that was really good or a pass that any SEC QB could make.
I really thought Cook would be better.

You expected him to make passes that other SEC QBs can’t make?
Why?
Why?
