How?
She can't do an interview without letting everyone know she's black, and how black people are discriminated against and the pressure to succeed because of it.

Every damn time.

It’s the “shut up and dribble” routine. We know exactly why people have a problem with Dawn Staley.

Guess you didn't watch the game last night. Too bad, your team actually won it. You should have tuned in. You missed it.

The mens national championship?

Just admit you’re talking out your arse and have no clue what you’re talking about.

Well TX, Staley does have a point...she is very discriminated against...she is forced to make nearly 3 mill a year, all because she's black...tough, tough life.

I'd be more concerned about events on my school's campus if it willingly hosted a Presidential Library for a NWO globalist guilty of decades of crimes against the United States and its citizens...

as opposed to why a team was not on the court pregame for the national anthem in a semi-final game - but was for the championship game.

Because she’s anti American and sees her self worth only in victimhood?

But the anthem, Pledge of Allegiance and flag do represent the men and women who have given their lives for this country, and it is considered disrespectful to those who lost their lives to not respect those things.

One could argue that assailing a person's rights granted from the First Amendment is a greater affront to those who served and died than the act of exercising said freedoms in the first place.

the uninformed believe it's ..

Host a library for a former president
when in reality it's ...

Host a library for a dead terrorist and former director of the CIA who arranged to have JFK killed
...and then there's that Reagan thing that happened 69 days after his inauguration, too.

This is such a nothing burger.

Their team was out there for the National Anthem before the National Championship game.

Shockingly, the extremes on both sides of this country are just looking for something stupid to trigger them again.

Giving an inch has turned into a couple miles in this once grey country. It matters and is worth taking a stand over. It’s a point of principle and decorum that those athletes just decided didn’t apply to them. If they cannot bother to participate in all required functions then they should disqualify any athletes that refuse and force a forfeit if the team doesn’t have enough players to participate.

They are not required to play a game as a condition of being in school. The athletes knew that being present and standing for any and all anthems was a condition of being in the tournament.

The freedom of speech does not and should not exempt you from speech.

So everybody in the concession stands and/or restroom, or walking to their seats should immediately be kicked out of the stadium as well then?

Just want to make sure you’re staying consistent on your take.

Look, I love the National Anthem. I’m always going to take my hat off and sing it. I love watching it after someone wins a gold medal at the Olympics and gets emotional. I love watching our national teams sing it before games, especially when the fans join in.

But is it really a big deal that her team didn’t come out 10-15 minutes before the game to sing it? That’s not something they normally do that far in advance of the games. And if it is truly a big deal, I want to see you up in the stands getting everyone else to pay attention to it as well, especially your friends and family.

Are they athletes participating in the event?

I could care less if they sing. Be there standing. Do it for any and all anthems played. Every time.

As far as consistency… I stood for the republic of china’s (Taiwan) anthem 7 years after they had formally expelled my family from their country. It was at a diplomatic “friendly” baseball game. I stood because it’s what was expected. Not because I held an ounce of love for the country.
