13 hit batters against LSU this weekend, including 8 (!) on Sunday before and after warnings.

I guess giving up 27 runs in 2 games will reveal a redneck trailer trash's character.

That or our pitchers can’t even hit the batters.

The correct phraseology is "Jorts"...

And it's to draw attention away from their mullets

I thought it was funny that the ump warned the dugouts about HBPs and the very next pitch hit an LSU batter. The ump did nothing. I would have expected an ejection on principle alone. Was it just a coincidence that the batter after both Jobert homeruns was hit? At least the Tigers responded to HBP by hitting homers and doubles all game. How many of the 8 HBP yesterday scored? 5? 3 on the very next batter?

It's bad when you hit more batters than the runs you scored.

Yes both dugouts were warned multiple times because of how chippy it was a yelling back and forth. After the warning on Sunday, Florida’s pitcher pegged an LSU batter on the next pitch but the umps didn’t do anything

It got chippy, but the baseball was more exciting because of it.

Florida hit an LSU batter, the next batter hit a home run. The Florida catcher tried to slow walk what he thought was a homerun that ended up as a warning track out. LSU's batter slow walked his monster homerun in response.

The only HBP that was really over the line was when one of LSU's batters got hit in the head by the Friday night guy on a 3-0 count. It looked to us like he hit the guy to preserve his strikeout to walk ratio.

I am curious how we get hit so much more than others, but that has to be part of the explanation. I never noticed them crowding the plate but that must be the case. Not ALL of the HBPs this weekend were intentional

Certainly not all intentional. It actually looked like the pitcher was rattled on the one after both benches were warned.

Trashy of course. But more so, it’s just bad baseball. It’s outside the code. Sure, brush back a guy or even hit a batter who showboats but this was just random low IQ undisciplined stuff. What is going on in that dugout?

I didn’t get to see it, but I have to imagine that the umpire must have thought that the pitcher wouldn’t be stupid enough to intentionally hit a batter after the teams were warned.
