I have expectations that we go 3-5 the rest of the way.

20-13, 10-8

Maybe that will make the tournament, but it shouldn’t.

Btw I spent some time looking at this thread circa late February 2019. Pretty funny stuff. You and I appeared to be the few with any hope remaining lol LINK

Ahhh yes, the days of people arguing it was better to go on a run in the NIT then get bounced in the NCAA tourney

Those were some great times.

Beatbammer and cousin brick were the chicken and Peter Grffin that fought for years. I found it amusing so much I miss it. People forget that Brown used to pout a lot until his junior year.

Just from scanning,

Yes, I remember BBN TigerProwl trying to put us into our place. What an a-hole

In 2019 we were also 1 missed 3 pointer from NMST from being bounced the first round of the tourney.

I wonder if we were ranked #2 in nation and were playing at home if Wendall gets a foul called on his 3 point shot at end of game?

Maybe someone wiser than me can explain why in the first 5 minutes of UT game yesterday Broome had 8 points of out 10 and then we reverted to throwing up 3 point shots from the cheap seats. Did UT change their defense?

Broome was gassed without Cardwell to spell him. Every time we threw it in to him after that early stretch he had no energy to fight for position and go get a bucket. Shot a few fadeaways. Meanwhile UT had 3 guys playing the 5 and were fresh the whole game.

We put Traore in for a little bit but it didn’t go well

What is the deal with Stretch?

Good size, but I guess he can’t even play 4 minutes when Cardwell is hurt?

Seems like a nice young man. I wish things had gone better for him developing as a basketball player.

I trust Bruce so Stretch must have been a developmental big that just never developed.

Y'all are getting weird with the unnecessary I trust Bruce stuff.
Bruce has nothing to do with why Stretch doesn’t play. Stretch isnt any good but he helped bring in Shariffe and Okoro and he’s a good teammate.

Why the frick are we even wasting a scholarship on Stretch when he never plays. We were all begging for a shooter over the off-season. That never happened. Instead, we kept shittt players who are still taking up scholarship spots

Bruce is loyal to his guys. I don’t think having Stretch is a bad thing, it’s just the other guys aren’t doing their job. KD had 22 against Auburn as a true freshman and beat us basically by himself in the second half. That guy needs to get back to being a bully with the ball.

Yeah not every scholarship player that gets signed is going to make an on court impact. You can’t bat 1.000.

Stretch has been an exemplary student athlete at AU.

I don't care whose gym the game is in, or if either team has won a single game, or if it was the first shot of the game, that was a blatant damn foul, and there is no excuse for the ref standing 5 feet away looking right at it not to call it.

I can’t count the number of games KD has cost us over the last two seasons. He has regressed more than any other play

Meh he’s also won us some but I agree he’s regressed. Refs are calling his drives charges this year. They didn’t last.

I don’t agree that he’s cost us games that I can think of it’s more that he’s just been ineffective. Those are two different things to me. He’s been very below average since January of 2022. He’s so good going to the basket at times yet he continues to shoot threes and it feels like he is 2 for his last 60

Edit: I will say he definitely cost us the TAMU game in the SEC tourney last year.
