I will list mine in order.

1: Texas AM
All the talent money can buy. They need a good season this year, and need to prove they can win.

2: LSU
When you think LSU you think contenders. LSU will have a new coach, and will have to prove they are making strides.

3: UGA
UGA must prove they can replicate another good season following a NC. Alabama seems to be the only team to sustain that success after a NC.

4: Florida
Florida is also with a new coach. They must prove they can compete in the SEC east. The east is way better when Florida can challenge UGA for that top spot.

5 Ole Miss:
Ole Miss surprised a lot of people last season by being a top 10 team. Was it a fluke? They must prove they can maintain solid seasons with Lane for years to come.

Nothing says contender like a losing record the past two years.

TAMU- wrong division at the wrong time. Will be disappointed

LSU- not a contender, massive rebuild. Will be a 7-5 type team for a while

UGA- will step back but not to LSU 2020 levels (impossible barring a plane crash.

Florida- they just want to not crash and burn

Ole Miss- it was a fluke. Kiffin messed up by not moving on

A8&4M - money gets in the way. 8-4 maybe 9-3.

LSU - must shake off the shadow of O. Then 2023. Maybe.

Georgia - tough to do it twice in a row. If you’re not Alabama.

Florida - stay close to Georgia and don’t look stupid.

Ole Miss - it’s Kiffin. He will lose at least 1 game he should easily win. He will lose another because he’s arrogant and immature.

Number 1 is UGA. They have yet to prove that they can win the SEC and NC in the same season since their anomaly season in 1980.

Florida is a dumpster fire. They have zero to prove because no one is expecting anything from them.

Sorta. All the real talent will be freshmen and sophomores, so you have to tamper it a bit. However, there needs to be improvement.

I am sure this is Bias, but id think that SC would be on there just to prove he isnt a fraud.

remember Champ won 9 games in a season at SC, then went off the rails

We have something to prove every year. We've been finishing with 9 and 10 wins and finishing 2nd in the East and people still talk to us like it's still Lil ole Kentucky and Vandy in the cellar.

I don't expect to be talked about like we're something amazing, but still getting flagrant disrespect when it's clear we're a very solid football program now is annoying as fvck. I'd say we've earned some respect.

Pretty legit list. I agree with all of it. I’m worried about Ole Miss. I hope our transfer portal work works out.

Not to poke A&M with a stick but with all the talent they've stockpiled in recent years (not just this class) it sure would be nice if they lived up to their billing for once.

Clemson made the playoff 2015,2016,2017,2018,2019,2020

But if you mean SEC, I guess with UGA it'd depend what is your definition of a "good season". I mean our worst season from 2017-2021 ended with a Big 6 bowl victory and a Big 6 bowl is pretty much the floor during that time. Unless you mean make it back to the playoff or win the division, which Bama has not done every season, we're pretty much already doing what you're talking about.

Mike Leach still has a lot to prove. He’s 0-2 versus Ole Miss.

I’m thinking Arkansas, was this a one year thing or is Pittman building something.

Not Gators or LSU. First year coaches should have some time to get things in place. Only concern is if they have a Shark level first year.

Georgia’s schedule looks like they will be 12-0 headed into SEC championship. And I’m not sure what they have to prove, they have been solid since Kirby has been there and got over the Bama hump.

A&M’s season will fall squarely on QB play. They need to figure that out now. Do they continue with another strong recruiting class?

Already wrote about UGA, but my two cents on the rest.

1. Spot on. Jimbo won a NCShip. So did Larry Coker and Gene Chizik. What is Jimbo? That's the question. He is up there with the elite in recruiting, but would Saban or Kirby have left a program in the shape he left FSU in? To this point, you'd have to say what he's done in total at A&M is below expectations.

2. Kelly has proven he's a really good coach. He has not been at a spot where he can get this kind of talent every season. I don't know that he'll ever win it all, but his floor will be more like Miles (fired for not getting over the Bama hump, but putting out good to great seasons) than Ed O. (mediocrity).

4. Slingblade Napier will likely survive this season no matter what as he was left with a terrible situation to recruit from. He could be trouble in the East if he gets the recruiting back up to Meyer or even Muschamp level next season. If he can win and get to a bowl in his first season, he's probably done a good job.

5. I'm kind of shocked that neither Ole Miss nor Arkansas were able to use their seasons to make much of a dent in recruiting. If you had told me the records each would have prior to the start of the season, I would've been shocked to see Obiwondrinkobi up in Mizzou out recruit them by ten plus spots. Lane is supposed to be a great recruiter. I think Jimbo, Kirby and Saban could pull in lower top ten to top 15 classes there. He's not in that tier.

My Hogs have a lot to prove without Treylon Burks. Can our WR's have any success without an NFL talent being there?
