It’s also fun watching another school get Petrino’d

Today has been one of the most entertaining days on tRant that I can remember. So glad it isn't our program burning to the ground.

Time to raid the shite out of those plains

Can someone give me cliffs on the situation. Been busy, and trying to get info on the rant now is impossible. It's like a feeding frenzy in there.

Harsin is fricking his assistant
Treats everyone like shite.
Auburn boosters and administration are crazy volatile.
Harisins daughter fricking everyone on campus too apparently.
Also harisins wife is fricking around with an assistant coach or former assistant coach

Nice. I'll grab my lawn chair and crack open a beer.

And our program was ridiculed for hiring Sam.
No doubt it was a gamble, but so far it’s paying off.

No comparison lol.... Nobody wanted petrino fired prior to his incident, while half the auburn fan base sees this as a freaking winning scenario

Living down in the deep south, I'm here for the Allbarn melt.

Auburn looking for any excuse to not having to pay Harsin's buyout because he didn't win/recruit.
Harsin went 6-7 in year 1 losing last 5 games, lost huge chunk of the roster (2 dozen players to the portal), lost half the coaching staff he originally brought including Mason to OKST and the new OC hired in December resigned less than a month on the job and didn't recruit any top 100 players.
One of their top recruits, 5th in their class on 247 was an Auburn basketball signee who won't play football. They wanted to include him to help their ranking.

They're about to get John L'd as well. The rumors are they want to bring in Kevin Steele if/when Harsin is canned for cause.
This all stems back to fricking Gus...
When they fired him, half the big money boosters wanted F-ing Steele as the next HC, but the other side won and got Harsin. There has been a civil war inside the booster/BoT ranks all year, and now the rebels see a chance to topple the opposing general and install their proxy.
It's an absolute shite show nor seen in the SEC since the motorcycle diaries. Damn this league is glorious.

Right now it is an absolute crap show. This is bigger than CBP and the Harlot on a Harley.
This seems absolutely crazy.

It is like a real life soap opera. I'm waiting for an evil twin to show up or a villainous Gus Malzahn to be revealed as the mastermind behind Harsin's downfall.

Auburn’s boosters are a special collection of meddlesome, backstabbing idiots. It’s beyond me as to why anyone would ever want to coach there.
You’ll get fired for not being Alabama, and before you do, your booster cadre will go full Ides of March on you at every turn.

I live amongst them and have for years. Auburn fans are very cultish, and a greater percentage actually went to Auburn than the average Bama fan.
Most bammers live for football and don't give a rat's arse for any other sport unless Alabama happens to have a good team in a certain point.
Aubies hold everything Auburn as part of themselves year-round. They have a creed for God's sake!!
Anyone coming in from the outside is going to have a hard time.

It's hilarious watching the Aubbies squirm down here. Most of them really DGAF about basketball but it's all they have right now.
Those frickers gave me hell when they beat us in football. Paybacks are gonna be fun when they get bounced in the 2nd round of the tournament.

Auburn football is days of our lives.
Posted on 2/7/22 at 11:58 am to ArHog
Still cant believe we let this Auburn team beat us. Was the most ticked I was all season.
Posted on 2/7/22 at 12:09 pm to CFB_Fanatic
We would go in a spiral for the next 10 years if this was happening to us. They will bounce back and be a top 10 team within a year or two.
I have come to the personal conclusion is Bama is more like Texas A&M everyone pulling the same way from the coach, admin and boosters right now. And Auburn is Texas with too many people with actual money since they graduated from the school and it’s just flip flopping in the wind.

That depends on the AD and if Auburn had hired the likes of Smith, Bert and Morris then they would have the same spiral.
