Yeah, I'm inclined to be skeptical until I see it.

NIL has nothing to do with bike trails and nature parks. They'll pass on athletes.

Same way Tim Cook doesn't associate Apple with Auburn in any way.

I propose Alice Walton get a portrait of every Arkansas scholarship athlete for a NIL fee

If Walmart and Tyson join in on this then game over for everyone else.

Kind of amusing watching these dumbfrick poor people who complained about everyone else paying players now boasting about doing the same thing

I never complained about it. It’s legal now and we’ll it’s been happening at A&M forever.

Kiss collegiate sports as we know it goodbye. Going to be worse than the NFL. I quit watching those premadonna’s already. Will do the same for college if this is the new trend!!

This is a good idea.
Is it? Or, is it just a way for the Waltons and such to write off their "investment". I'm betting it will be structured similar to Texas funneling money to players via a charitable organization.

Feels good to hear this stuff. I’m not a fan, but at least they’re trying. Good on HY

Feels like we have great leadership for the first time in a long time
HY wants to win, unlike certain grandstanding Yankees

Of course it is. You didn’t expect them to put up big bucks without being able to use it for tax deduction, did you?

Should just go to a NIL salary cap
Since it's not the schools directly paying out the money to the players, how would that work? The NIL is more like a NFL player have endorsements, making commercials, etc.. That doesn't affect a team's salary cap.
