LINK
1. Alabama
Remember how Mississippi doesn't have any laws on protecting non-disabled people against discrimination? Well Alabama doesn't either, making it one of the least inclusive states in America. Coming in third-highest rate of premature deaths, Alabama is also one of the least healthy states. Once again, thank goodness that high-quality air.
Alabama
Quality of Life Score 83/100
Weaknesses Inclusiveness, health, crime
Strengths Air quality
2016 Quality of Life rank No. 43

You don't live here so that is a plus on our side.

I was born and raised in Louisiana but there is no way Alabama is worse than Louisiana or Mississippi. You have Huntsville, Orange Beach and mountains.

Just keep buying the cars and trucks made here and we’ll be happy.

I love stopping in auburn and taking a shite there every time I drive through

And yet we're probably happier than most states.

Define non-disabled for me

We need about 35% of the ones here to leave too. It would be heaven on earth.

Non-disabled do not need legal protection. There are laws against discrimination against disabled people.

Did you ever think that people that come up with these rankings have their own biases? That they cherry pick data or weight it in scoring to get the result they want?

Non-disabled?
Meaning an able bodied person? Why would we need laws to protect able bodied people?

Why does a state need discrimination laws that are already covered by federal law?
MS didn’t officially ban slavery until like 2013 but we weren’t allowed to have slaves prior to then. That’s a stupid metric when figuring a place as a quality place to live

cullman times huh.. isnt that like one of the most racist cities in the state of alabama?

Lack of inclusiveness is the best part about it
Thank god Alabama isn’t New York or Canada or some shite. Though I wish Alabama governors didn’t run the state like they believe some invisible man would.

I'm perfectly happy coming in last on any list that includes "inclusivity" as one of its prime criteria. Not that I find inclusivity a bad thing in and of itself. But I do find anyone who thinks that anywhere in the US is systemically "non-inclusive" in this day and age a complete and utter moron.

The South > the dusty, dying rust belt.
Your people think so too, that's why they won't stop moving here.
