Despite being top heavy, this isn’t a strong league. I always laugh at my fellow LSU fans and others for writing off a player or coach because they “don’t have what it takes for the SEC” or some variation of that.

The SEC is overrated. Period.

Love your school, whatever it is. But “SEC! SEC! SEC!” is bullshite.

Let me wait to see all the games before I agree to your opinion. Will you tell me which highly rated conference is appropriately recognized as such?

The only reason to root for SEC teams is because it's probably the best way to legitimize subjectively higher rankings. If you were to take away the current ranking system, you wouldn't see very much SEC unity.

I love how often these “overrated” posts pop up. Recruiting is the lifeblood of a college football program. As long as the SEC is pulling in 9-10 of the top 25 recruiting classes year after year, the SEC will continue to be far and away the most dominant, and likely underrated, league in the country.

Bowl season doesn't prove anything anymore.

With all the opt-outs and transfers that happen between Thanksgiving and bowl season, very few teams go into a bowl looking anything like the team they were in the regular season.

Winning a bowl these days has more to do with which team had fewer opt-outs than it does which team was actually better during the season.

Okay. Which conference is better top to bottom? There isn't a conference that is strong top to bottom.

Thank you for your opinion, but I will continue to do what I want to do instead of what you want me to do.

Compared to what? Three conference teams with a combined record of 18-18 overall and 8-16 in the SEC have played so far.

I guess you can make the point that two SEC teams that finished in the bottom of third of the conference lost to two teams that finished at the top of their G5 conference makes the SEC overrated?

It actually never did. It just made for some intriguing match ups that we didn't have the opportunity to see before.

Well, finding that out right in the middle of it is just awkward.

Hell, Aggie bought that big cracker and called dibs and everything.

Yeah, those nfl teams who invest billions into knowing football aren't gonna agree with this on draft day. It's quite phenomenal we've got them in on the scam.

Agree with you Tiger. SEC is not as strong as usual this year.

And some of the backdoor shite with bringing in new members without prior notification to all the AD's really destroyed a great deal of good will from some fan bases.

Stankey needs to be shown the back door.
