I used a 1976 Sears black and white TV in my garage until 2022. 46 years!

I replaced it with a 13" Phillip / Magnavox color model from the mid 1990's.

I've installed Chrome OS Flex on a few mini PC's. I've only had one problem with the power policy not working properly.

It currently doesn't allow access to the Google Play store so you're restricted to the apps that it loads. However, you can enable dev mode which will load Debian on it which then allows you to run Linux based apps.
I installed Trixie on an Intel NUC 8 - Pentium j5005 CPU, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD.

I did a minimal install of the KDE Plasma desktop. No issues, it's smooth.
I don't know if this is helpful but this a demo of using Ubuntu with a minimal desktop to run Plex...

Please note that the installation of Plex as a snap package on Ubuntu simplifies the complexities of setting up permissions on your media storage.
Interesting times... I've got some friends that have given up on desktops, laptops and tablets and instead just buy a plus sized smartphone to use for all of the their computer needs.
