Just watched a highlight video of his, and yeah highlight videos make everybody look like all Americans..

But he does seem to have a nice deep ball and is a pretty big runner with some speed when needed. Quick release. I was surprised we didn't hear any chatter at all as him being an option (or at least I didn't see any chatter).

He looks like a pretty solid qb.

I'd never heard of him or his potential before. Nobody on here has ever brought him up before

We really should make a thread about recruiting. Would be a good place in which to talk about things just like this.

Y’all have such a problem with new threads even though there’s like 2 new ones made a week.

And honestly I’d rather keep Holden talk out of the recruiting thread since he already signed.

I am fine with talking about Holden outside of the recruiting thread, but dan talked about him like we haven't ever talked about the kid.

Granted, if dan doesn't frequent the recruiting thread, I can understand not wanting to sift back through all the BS that goes on in there...

Geriner looks the part for sure. Hope he succeeds. Will wait to get my hopes up, though, until he plays a couple games. Would have loved for him to sit behind someone like Slovis for a season or two to watch and learn from a QB with excellent fundamentals. Not sure what the portal will bring now that Slovis is going to Pitt.

He's not really considered a recruit anymore is he now that he's signed? Is he enrolling early?

I caught his State game vs. Columbus and he looked great!

I believe it was reported that Geriner will enroll in January and be there for spring practice...

An option to what?

Be QB1 at Auburn next year? If so, there's been plenty of chatter about that, but do we really want to throw another true frosh behind our garbage OL? I think most everyone here believes Geriner is the real deal, but it would probably be best if he were to have a year in a true college strength/conditioning program, learn mechanics and technique from AD, and just soak in everything he can for a season before he's thrown into the fire.

Holden Geriner
I think he's going to be great. I like him much more than the fatty Gunnar Stockton who signed with UGA. Aside from his soap opera name, I think he's close to his ceiling on production. OTOH I see Gernier as just now scratching the surface and hopefully Davis and Harsin can bring it out. He sure does play well when the stakes are high, which is awesome to see.

His body style and deep ball reminds me a little bit of Justin Hebert with the Chargers.

This! One reason to Bo being a head case. He was thrown in the fire before he was ready and it screwed him up. I would rather Holden be brought along.

This. Will be praying for the Kid. Next year's gonna be tough to watch.

If Bo Nix can get benched for Finely, maybe Nix watched the Geriner's highlight video too?

it seems to me that Bo would’ve been screwed up no matter when he started

Someone should have told him, "there's no indispensable man".

This is a good thread man. It could end up being a lengthy discussion and not needed in the recruiting thread. How hard is it to scroll by if you don’t want to discuss?

Good grief. Y’all act like it’s prime marketing space and you are paying a premium here to use the board.

The rest of y'all don't pay a donation each month. Man, I got some bad information when they let me on this board...

There actually is a premium content board of anything goes, but there is criteria you have to meet to get invited.
