I like this post. Michigan looks strong and I’m glad to see some Wolverine fans around here. Stay and enjoy yourself.

And if you happen to get by UGA and beat Bama, in addition to all the glory of winning the national title, you’ll make best friends with all the LSU fans here

Yes, that's correct. Michigan will beat Georgia, beat Bama, and then play LSU, A&M, Arkansas, etc., if you want to watch them lose, too.

I can see that you don’t know how this playoff thing works.

Thank you, Mr. LSU...good job on that NC a few years ago! Gonna miss your coach, he spoke from the heart, IMO. Kelly is not my favorite, though!

I give you that one...at Michigan, our kids can read, write, and they actually ATTEND CLASSES! Michigan is an academic school first, and a great football team SECOND!

That Michigan “academic standard” line is pure bilge and not supported by any evidence.

1. Michigan's admissions standards are the same as other college football juggernauts. In fact, UGA's Class of 2024 averaged almost the precise same admission stats as that of Michigan's (Avg. ACT of 32, SAT of 1400, GPA of 4.0). So you have no academic advantage. Other schools that have proven far more successful than Michigan in recent years likewise have the same or better admissions stats (USC, UT-Austin, UF, UNC, etc.).

2. Michigan offers scholarships to the same recruits that schools like Bama and Ohio State do. There is zero evidence that Michigan decides not to offer a 5* recruit a scholarship due to low (but still academically eligible) grades. Look at Rivals.com. Michigan offers scholarships to the same 3.0 GPA / 25 ACT kids that all other schools do.

3. No football player is averaging Michigan’s median scores (same case at the aforementioned schools, like UGA). Does it matter that a recruit has a 23 or 24 ACT, if they’re still well below Michigan's average? Of course not. Michigan, like every other university, is concerned about average admission stats for their U.S. News ranking. A few recruits with low scores have no impact upon average scores.

4. Michigan tutors their players to pass, like every other school.

5. Michigan players routinely score poorly on the Wonderlick and have the same admissions stats as players at other schools.

6. Please explain why Michigan academics typically allow the team to go 10-2, but not win a national championship. Is UMich choking in big games due to algebra requirements? Please explain why UMich frequently has top 10 recruiting classes, yet still fails to perform well.

7. Your 320 lb. Midwestern, cornbread bubbas for Michigan major in the same bullshite studies (“exercise science;” “communications;” etc.) that players at other schools do. Listen to any Michigan player in a post game interview. Is that tenuous grasp on the English language a result of his brilliant SAT scores? Please...

8. Here is the truth: Players do not want to play at Michigan for palpable reasons. Michigan is frigidly cold, most of your undergrads are from shite areas like Detroit, the women are significantly less attractive, and the team is no longer competitive in football as Southern schools keep eviscerating them in big games.

But please, keep peddling that "academic superiority" line. Michigan is not prestigious - it is a decent school located in a highly undesirable state. There are plenty of Southern schools that have the same or superior academic standards that perform better in football (UGA, UF, UT-Austin), basketball (Duke, UNC, UVA), baseball (Vanderbilt), etc.

I would MAYBE be inclined to consider your argument if we were discussing Stanford football (who, by the way, also offers scholarships to the same players that SEC schools do based on Rivals.com), but Michigan does not qualify as an academic elite. No excuse.

Also, the sooner you accustom yourself to Southern beat downs, the better. As the Midwestern population escapes that frozen tundra and moves to the Promised Land, B10 football will only degenerate. Why do you think so many people from hell holes like Detroit (and other frozen, crime ridden B10 cities) are moving to cities like Miami, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Charlotte, Nashville, etc.? The Midwest objectively sucks.

I think Georgia is done psychologically. The Dawgs get boat raced to end another lackluster season.

Well, dang. Guys, the SEC had a great run, but no way this Michigan fan could be wrong. Between Michigan, Cincinnati and UF-Orlando, looks like the SEC has been replaced.

The last two years have been rough for you. Maybe LSU will be relevant again next year and you won’t have to go to all the trouble of creating alters.
