Never put trust in a high school quarterback regardless of rating. We need a highly ranked kid every year at that spot.

Hopefully he is but so was Kodi Burns and Frazier both studs from Arkansas. Frazier was the gatorade national player of the year. A can't miss prospect

About like Bo Nix without the championships in high school. Very similar type player. Lets hope he doesn't have to start as true freshman

I mean, as Auburn fans, we all had our doubts given level of competition, throwing motion/accuracy (or lack of) and simplicity of offense. He was far from a can’t miss prospect.

Little bit of revisionist history there but no I don’t think anyone thought he was can’t miss.

Arkansas fans were first to point most of that out. We realized it too, to a degree, but were hopeful (and blinded, honestly) Gus could turn him into something close to Cam Newton 2.0.

Most of that was before we realized Gus was a complete goon with recruiting and developing the QB position.

I think we all realized he really did suck in mop up duty during his true freshman season. Didn’t take long.

I still can’t help but wonder how good Tyrik Rollison would’ve been in that kind of system. He was an ‘09 kid so he could’ve redshirted then, sat and learned behind Cam Newton and then took over instead of Barrett Trotter and Clint Mosley.

Well he looks like he went to Sam Houston for a year then ended up at Texas A&M (What for it) Commerce

Has him playing part of 2013 (injury) & 2014...

White was Dabo and Garrett Riley’s #1 want at QB in this class….same with Kiffin.

You are comparing him to QB that came here under the tutelage of Gus Malzahn, who had zero clue how to develop a QB.

Walker will be in great hands.

Apparently, neither does anyone else. I think we TT knows how he would have worked out at Auburn

I can't remember whether it was Kiehl Frazier, Tyrik Rollison, or someone else who looked GREAT in the UA All-American game...

Still wonder about Air Noland, he was a big Auburn fan right? I hear harsin turned him off, well thats true with a lot of targets/gets that Freeze is coveting....why no reach back for him.

The guy committed to Ohio State, his completion percentage, against some of the top schools in the south, was above 70%, his td/int ratio is incredible.

I keep hearing Walker's completion % can be fixed....like Ashford? It is concerning....however....

He presses downfield alot and that is probably why his percentage completion is lower, because he knows they will win so why not have fun and just sling it.

I'd keep an eye out for the Qb from Saraland, KJ Lacey. He is committed to Texas, but that could change to Auburn

I think we need to hit the portal again, because I don’t trust Arkansas prospects ever since Kodi Burns and Moca Cam came to Auburn. For the life of me I have no idea why Nussmeier stayed at LSU. I don’t think he leaves for the draft which does leave him a lot of time to get a shot at QB
