Are they making strides or do you chalk it up to playing Vandy and South Carolina?
Can they beat UGA on Sat?

Don't think so but I guess it depends on which UGA shows up Saturday.

We may win, we may lose.
All I know is -- I will be getting drunk on Saturday in Jax.

Both things can be, and probably are, true.

Florida's best (1st Half against Tennessee or 4th Quarter against SC) can beat a Georgia team that starts slow. It's not likely, but definitely possible

It can be Yes to both.

Yes.
Not likely.
2 TD spread gives Florida a 15% chance on a neutral field.
Is that consistent with recruiting rankings?
Consistent with coaching talent?
Consistent with style of play in 2023?
Consistent with stats to date in 2023?

UGA can definitely lose this game.

Now I feel better about our odds.

With Bowers out, this will be a game.

But, can Florida beat a Georgia team that starts fast (Kentucky)? :)
A conundrum of sorts.

UGA would have to lose this game for themselves. I think playing cupcakes made FL look like an improved team.

UGA can certainly lose, but it would come from their own poor play. I think even if Florida plays to their level, they are outmatched.

I think my scenario implies that Florida has to play strong football on both sides of the ball (they have shown this in spurts as referenced) AND Georgia needs to start slow (This has been common).
Georgia's best will beat Florida every time.

Can? Yes.
Will they? No.
Georgia is far and away 100x more talented than Florida is.
Can't win unless you have jimmys and joes.

They suck. We just suck that bad

Or a big turnover margin.

I will be interested to see if Mertz takes the next step.

Of course they can. UGA has struggled with teams worse than UF this season WITH Bowers. Without Bowers, who knows what will happen?

IF the Dawgs can limit the Uf running backs, I'm curious to see what Mertz can do.
Rattler got 250 yards, 1 TD, and 2 Picks.
Swann got 201 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 pick.
Mertz would definitely have success. "How much" is the question.
