This isnt a troll its just a observation. I do think Jayden is a good player and somewhat reminds me of Conner Shaw. But If you watched him play last year it screams game manager that has some good running abilty. He does have very good numbers. I'm to lazy to go dig through the game splits. For me its more of an eye test and I just don't think he has the ability to beat an elite team in a championship game. And no Alabama last year wasn't an elite team. Especially not on defense.

Completion percentage 68.6
YDS 2913
17 TD 3 INT

Rushing
ATT 186
YDS 885
AVG 4.8
TDs 11

The most hate I've seen for the guy has been from our own fans. It's weird.

He's a solid college QB. Doesn't have to be NFL caliber to win a college natty.

Your sentence structure sucks as much as your observation.

He’s way better than Greg McElroy and he’s got a ring

that run of "good numbers" was against fla, ole miss, alabama. not the greatest of defenses, but that stretch showed what he's capable of....not who he is. we're hoping that stretch of games, and it somewhat started\carried over to the bowl game, is what we will get consistently this upcoming season.

Probably because other than Caleb Williams there are no incumbent super star QBs at contending schools. I guess there’s Hartman at Notre Dame but he’s a transfer and I’m not sure I’d consider ND a contender yet. Lots of uncertainty this year, it should make for a entertaining season

He's plenty good enough to be a national championship QB with the right pieces around him. I'm not sure he's quite good enough to carry a roster there, but very few are. LSU also isn't in a situation where he has to do that.

Exactly. He doesn't need to be Cam Newton.

Auburn fans passing judgement on LSU athletics is laughable

He’s got great leadership qualities and knows how to put a team on his back. He seems to make the right plays when they matter most. And he’s got his entire O basically coming back. He was tentative to throw last season so he ran alot and tried to avoid the interception. This is not going to be the case this year. If the guy has time he can sling it. I just think the overall package is going to better and that’s why he is a championship caliber QB.

Being a returning starter at that position in the SEC is massive. That’s why

I would take that for Robbie Ashford in a heart beat. But Robby sucks so there's that

Wait...I though SEC West Champs don't count?

At least that is what I have been told.

He can definitely play within their system, but LSU's rush defense is their largest concern. Followed by a lack luster back field

People thought Joe Burrow was a mediocre game manager after his first year too. YOU NEVER KNOW.
