A four seed isn't that high. But basketball seeding is based on your body of work. Those wins against 1 seeds and other high seeds matter. We don't have any 'bad' losses to bring that down.
We're not playing our best right now but right now isn't how seeding works. Seeding is based on the season.

And? Seeding is based on the entire season. Who knew that Beating Alabama, Kansas, and Texas makes your resume look decent.

Yeah...I don't get it. Finished 5th in the conference, lost to Mizzou...tiwice....lost in the SEC tourney 2nd round.....and they are a 4th? I don't get it.

Tied for 4th* in the conference. And SECT doesn't affect seeding that much.

The seeding is pretty bad overall. TN too high, A&M and Missouri too low, Kentucky a 6? Lol. Way too high. Arkansas and Auburn are too high at 8/9, more like 10/11 and both should be thankful to even be in. State should be 9 or 10, Arkansas a 10, Auburn 11.
