Any player going into the transfer portal before NSD in Feb 2021 and before talking to the new complete staff is an idiot.
See who is coming and how you fit their schemes.

In his defense it's not necessarily binding. He can pull out if he wants.

We had a father of a QB on the old AE site that spoke up at times. I’m trying to remember which one it was. I want to say it was Kiehl Frazier but I can’t be sure.

He definitely enjoyed playing recruiting insider. Dakota Mosley's dad posted a lot on Rivals, and seems like those weren't the only two. Those were some really fun classes to follow in general. Fun times.

I like worm. Maybe he can find a place with the new staff. MommaWorm, goddess on AUF... oh man. He's the bestest, he's got the biggest heart, he dondunuffin wrong. Truly blessed. We love the War Eagles.

I like him and I hope he stays.
But if forced to choose between him and MAR I'm taking MAR.
This and this. There is no reason we cant have two backs with ample carries. Bama and Georgia do it every year.
MAR has a great bloodline, beautiful film from high school, was redshirted (due to injury) and barely got a sniff at the ball this year. Give the kid some quality carries behind the starting OL and you will see the player he is.
I sure hope he reconsiders.

frick him . . .
. . . or any player that wants to grandstand now in the interim. At this moment in the process.
They haven't met Harsin, don't know who their respective coordinator will be, or what role they'll be asked to fill. And this guy has always been a look at me, look at me, with barely enough look at me to stand out above the rest. Is he good, yeah, but not heads above (sic) everybody else.

Shivers will be on our video board running over Bama for a long time.
He’s not the best running back ever, but he made one of the best runs in Auburn football history, “and everything that goes with that.”

Maybe he’s just trying to get Coach Harsin ‘s attention

Hopefully, this kid finds a coach that can properly use his skill set. He has world class speed, but he’s a small back. Scatback is what we used to call it. Screens, sweeps, short passes, etc that can get him in space. Malzahn used him as a normal/traditional back with no imagination. It honestly should surprise the defense when he slams it up the middle.
Whatever happens, kid has great heart and I hope he finds success.

Like someone said he just had really bad vision on the field would run into lineman and topple over like a toddler.

Worm thinking about transferring?
What great news. Let him go somewhere that matches his talent, like the Sunbelt or the SWAC. Anywhere but wasting carries/downs at Auburn. Watching him passblock is comically sad.

Oh, I was one of those that got chewed out by Momma Worm, bc I thought that Shivers was not an every down back. She called me a hater.
I didn't have a problem w her comments as a mother. it was expected but for her to interact on a message board, unless her son was Bo Jackson, she was going to get some grief.
Shivers is a great guy in the locker room, full of energy, and loved by his teammates for his heart, but he simply lacked the cuttability and power to break tackles inside. His body style simply limited him to straight line running. Just watch his kickoff returns..
He will be missed if he leaves, bc he will be one of the veterans that could be good for a new coach.
But there will be plenty RBs in the portal Harsin can go get probably. He will need them, if we lose now 3 backs (Joiner, MAR, and Shivers).

Maybe? It really is not a major issue really. I like him for his tenacity and heart, but the truth is he was going to lose more opportunity next season anyway. I don't blame him if he does try to find an opportunity elsewhere.
