Will Ashford and/or Thorne be on this roster next season?

Thorne - I don't think he will. Based on his performance this season (or lack thereof), his body language on the field, etc. I just don't seem him sticking around in 2024 (whether that is by his choice or a coaching decision. …Unsure)

Ashford - I do see sticking around. We all know that he transferred from the Oregon to AU - but he is playing SEC football close to his hometown. How much has he devolved as a player from last season to this season? That I really don't know. I would have thought that under Hugh’s tutelage Robbie would have progressed more than he has....I could see him leaving, but if I had to put money on it I would bet he will stay.

What are yalls thoughts?

Both leave for lower level schools and set school records

If we can get someone like Vandagriff from Georgia in the portal, neither will be playing.

I believe the new portal window opens on December 4th so we will know very soon after that who our new QB will be.

I don’t want Ashford to leave. But if it means Throne leaving too, I’ll help Robby pack his bags.

Ashford should have come in with a knowledge of the new playbook .....he's not learned nor applied anything.

He should have gone and learned how to develop touch to his passing .....again total failure in this regard. Total failure in his personal quest to become a better QB. He is simply not improving ......and shows no desire to improve.

I think Ashford transfers and Thorne stays and is named starting QB for spring. Freeze will go into it believing if he tweaks the offense just enough and gets the right receivers and linemen in, Thorne will be great.

It’s the Auburn way.

Thorne isn't happy and made it known this week with his comments. I don't see him hanging around. I hate it because he seems like a good dude and the offensive failures aren't all his fault.

But if both of them leave, then we're gonna be stuck with another transfer QB next year.

Thorne is likely gone. RA depends on if he graduates I’d guess.

I would think they’d move to lower tier schools or out west.

He basically said this was the only place he’s had to share game reps.

Also, he said he runs the plays that is called. Basically taking a dig at Ashford for switching up play calls.

I think Thorne stays.

I think Ashford leaves (if graduates). I think he should go back to baseball. He would have a future in Baseball more so than a QB in the NFL. Don't see him making it.

I see another QB coming from the portal this year and competing this spring.

ex Porn Stashe may end up leaving.

Thorne will go back up North and do well somewhere. Ashford will test the waters but end up sticking around

I could see him at Minnesota for some reason. Thorne that is. That kid from liberty seemed to be better than both our qbs. Someone mentioned that kid from New Mexico state and I watched a few of his plays. He seems tough and 100% unafraid!

The guy had over 5,000 yards of passing the last two years at Mich State

I dont think any of this is his fault...

Our WR's just collapsed to nothing

I have no idea who comes and goes after the season but if the number I heard for Thorne’s NIL is true I don’t see many teams matching that

Hopefully neither stick around and we can just go with one average qb next year. I’d be so happy with that. Isn’t that sad????
