Hasn’t really been announced yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Bellantoni. Special teams coordinators always seem like a good interim candidate since they work with guys from both sides of the field

It would be in AU’s best interest to promote the associate head coach… especially if you want to retain them.
Etheridge is headed to UGA otherwise and that’s a nightmare scenario.

Not really. For one, they probably don't want to tie the remaining shitshow to Etheridge's resume. Secondly, the new coach may not want to keep on board a guy who was "Interim HC" for optics purposes alone. He may have a better shot of staying on the next staff if he's not named interim HC at all.
Also, what position is he going to take at UGA? They already filled their CB position with a strong young coach this past offseason (ironically, it's one of Matt Rhule's guys).

Rhule would make the most sense. Hes currently unemployed and could start getting recruits lined up immediately. That's what scares me the most. Not many commits to work with right now.

I believe it was Rig that called the Harsin hire well before he made it on campus and was the only one that mentioned him so I look forward to him chiming in.

Doesn’t matter and for once will we actually let the new coach hire the assistants instead of making him hire a bunch of former players

I don’t know about this. You think the new guy wants the previous (interim) head coach on staff? Without looking, does that happen often/ever? I’d rather keep Etheridge at DB coach for now and put someone at interim that isn’t going to be here next year.
