It is a skill baw. Developed over time. Some of us are good at QB's too.

Bump. What an epic fail of a thread.

I wouldn’t call it a fail thread just yet, but like many said in the thread, it’s way too premature to be making a thread about an abundance of RB talent when we’ve never really see any of them play.

BTW OP, we had under 100 yards team rushing, so we have some work to do

I get the impression that Joiner has issues with the coaching staff. I have nothing to back that up other than old man instincts. Seems like Gustav was just skirting the issues with him

I didn’t say we have no talent at all, but he compared our current group to Caddy, Ronny and Jacobs. 2 Top five NFL draft picks and Brandon Jacobs a 2-time super bowl winner.

Yeah, I don't get it. The guy looks to have all the physical tools. He was used primarily to catch out of the backfield last year, yet he can't even get on the field in a game where we rush for less than 100 against Kentucky.

I'll admit that I'm not a fan of the small scat back (ie Shivers) and prefer those guys to get 5 or so touches on the perimeter. Then run your horses between and off tackle. There were a couple plays Saturday that Shivers goes down with contact that I believe a 210+ lb guy doesn't on.

Who knows, maybe Joiner is a head case, but we've heard nothing to suggest that and there was chatter that he was showing out at times in camp. This is one of those where I just scratch my head and I have to believe the coaches have their reasons as they are around them every day.

As to the OP about the RB talent, this group doesn't sniff those backfields with Cadillac, RB, and BJ. Bo, Fullwood, Agee...CAP and Mason... hell, KJ and Pettway as well. We just don't have enough tape to proclaim anything about this group but my I'll be very happy if they can come close to those mentioned.

Well I'll say this...you're consistent. You consistently have no faith. It's one game. I think we have a lot of talent in the backfield but its gonna take more than one freaking game.
