Caddy, Ronnie, B. Jacob's, White Lightnin'?

That running back room is stacked with talent. DJ, Tank, MAR, Joiner, and Shivers as a curve ball. That's a lot of studs in one stable. Been a while since we've had that much talent behind the QB.

Lets check back in a few years. Recruiting talent doesn't mean anything if they don't produce. Pettway and KJ were a good 1-2 punch. I don't think trying to determine talent until they have produced is a tough thing. Potential maybe but injuries, fumblitis, knuckleheads, all that could diminish any potential. I'm actually more excited going forward if hold on to Goodwin, grab Henderson, and then grab Richard Young the year after. Do I think we will get all 3 probably not but we lead for all 3 at the moment.

They damn sure look good getting off the bus. I think DJ is the big unknown. IMO....Tank and worm will get the lions share. Joiner the wheel routes and goal line work, MAR the screens.

Will DJ split the load with Tank and Worm or will he be used in the passing game

Im not talking about production, I'm talking about talent. Cadillac has done some seriously good work on the recruiting trail.

Talent in high school maybe so. But isn't Tank his only recruit on the team? Huge get but lets see how he does with others in his area not just his position group. Like Fegans for next year. He and koolaid this year would be huge gets as far as stacking the defensive backfield. RB is definitely the easy position at AU to recruit.

He committed after Auburn hired Caddy. But if you trust MAR’s word, that seed was planted by Gus when we were recruiting his brother Ahmmon back in 15/16.

We also have a top 5 RB committed in this current class. A lot of this is Gus, his track record with RBs, and Auburn’s reputation but Caddy is popular on the trail.

Richard Young is a 2023 back that Auburn is thought to be pushing very hard for. Obviously, it’s very early to talk about 2023 guys but one of his teammates is in our 2021 class.

Emmanuel Handerson (2022)is another #1 RB. From AL. Auburn is thought to be leading there too but I know other schools think they’ve got a good shot aswell

I gotcha Jonesy, and appreciate the info. Just bring awareness to the dripping irony of Coach’s post saying we have no proven talent on the team yet lauding a couple high school lower class men.

TailbackU was asking about talent alone not production... Therefore I said if we are able to land those talents in back to back to back years I'd be extremely happy with the potential. Only you didn't understand.

I like this group of backs we have now but not sure how it all shakes out. If Joiner is a rarely used wheel route guy and MAR is an occasional receiving back and Williams and Shivers are our 2 main backs for this year I don't think it will be a great outcome.

I did like how Caddie tried to keep Boobie fresh going into the 4th qtr last year.

Gotcha I lean toward Coach here.

I feel like we know what we have in DJ unless his recent weight loss and lapsed time since his knee surgery unlock another gear. Great vision, good cuts, some quickness, and maybe lacking top end speed.

In the same vein, I think we know Shivers. Gadget guy, home run threat, easy to knock off balance when he’s not running north to south.

Joiner still feels unknown. MAR is riding the hype train (unknown still) and Tank is in the same boat. Though I tend to be more excited about this group. Especially if we start adding in guys like Armoni Goodwin.

This group has the highest floor and ceiling that we’ve had in some time. It feels like a solid group with a couple of guys that could really break out into the best of what CFB has.

I'm still going on this season Joiner, Tank, Williams at this point. MAR will get carries so will Worm. Tank will be the workhorse going into next season unless Joiner just has a huge year.

Last I heard from anyone that had any idea of a pecking order was 1A Joiner and 1B Williams.

I still think with MAR's speed he should be a safety. Think he could be elite. Just my opinion. Lets see how he does on special teams this year should give some indication.

Kerryon Johnson and Peyton Barber are both in the NFL, and Roc Thomas was at one point. I still maintain Jovon Robinson was the best of the bunch, just a huge head case apparently.
