Wasn’t he supposed to get out of dodge if Gus was to stay? Funny how rumors seem to disappear.

I like Kevin. I dont think as highly as some of you tho. Our DB play hasnt been great. He has looked bad a few times this year with our GOAT DLmen.

I never thought our D was nearly as good as most of you did this year. We had an absolutely awesome gameplan and performance against LSU that inflated its perception

Steele isn’t perfect, but he has put a defense on the field that allowed our offense chances to win every game.
The bowl game was hideous and demoralizing to say the least, but he is good enough that we could win a NC had we an offense worth a damn.

He also is the beneficiary of Gardner and Twills recruiting. I like him tho. Just dont think he is not replaceable

Totally agree there. But a lot of people spoke of our defense as the best in the country. I personally never felt it was a dominant unit at all. But it was plenty good enough

Well when our shitstain of an offense get off the field quicker than Ms.Garrison abandoning a score thread allowing our defense to never rest. Kevin deserves a raise.

Over the last 4 years Steele's D has been top 20-25 I think which was better than we had for some years.
I think he is good for the long haul season, but some games his D has allowed a lot of yardage.
The last 2 games this year I think they gave up almost 1,000 yards of offense total. And allowed 45 and 31 points.
ofc our offense has created some of their problems by not sustaining drives or scoring more points. The D has had to come back out after way too many 3-4 and outs by our offense.

Marlon and Brown were GOATs but there was a HUGE drop-off after them and we got ZERO production from our DEs.
We were 1 or 2 players short of the GOAT Dline.

I disagree. Outside of internet rumors, there is no indication of discontent. He has tried to be a HC again, but no one has wanted to go down that rabbit hole with him, again. The reality is AU has done more for Steele than he has done for AU. He has been poor until this stop.

Clemson has given up 35 points to LSU midway through the third quarter which is still second lowest points allowed against LSU.
