Auburn is good enough to win the SEC Regular Season Title, SEC Tournament Title, clinch a #1 seed and beat every single team during March Madness. I won't settle for less.

We are the best team in the country. Anything short of a national championship would be “disappointing” in some sense of the word.

Rational folks know a 1 game sample size can fluke against you, but it would still suck. That said, no excuse for a first weekend fluke loss this year. The season will be viewed as a success in the long term if the regular season continues on its current trajectory and we get past the first weekend. Much like the 1999 team

Final Four but not going to lie, I will be let down if we don't win it. Bruce isn't getting any younger, this team is a few years in the making, and I don't know if he'll get another chance this good.

They are already to me.

But a blowout win in Tuscaloosa
coupled with an arse whipping in the jungle
and then knocking them out of the tournament

would be one for the ages.

I don’t think I could mentally handle meeting them in the F4. I think my heart would just prefer they get upset early lol

True enough.

But just imagine on a stage that big. Might just need a statue of the whole damn team.

Agreed that the SEC regular championship would be a huge accomplish this year, with this being the strongest conference potentially of all time. But there is no doubt that I want a really strong tournament run to cap off this season.

With Auburn having one of the all-time highest ratings in KenPom history this year, I was interested in how other teams that have had this type of success per KenPom fared in the tournament. I looked at all teams going back to 2002 that finished the season rated +30 or higher (Auburn is currently at +37 and almost guaranteed to finish higher than +30) and 68% at least made the final four. 80% made the elite 8. I really want the final four this year, but I think elite 8 is where I would draw the line. This team is doing some seriously historical things this year and we need to capitalize.

Honestly, if we don't win the NCAA tourney, I'm going to have some level of disappointment, regardless of how we finish in the SEC. I'll be happy with a reg season SEC champ, but if we don't hit the Championship game in the tourney, I'll wonder if we ever will.

This is our best shot. We need to stay healthy and take what is ours.

The fact that we've likely already played or will play whoever we could see in the championship game and we've been playing high seed tourney teams every game and dominating alot of them will make anything less than a championship disappointing, but not crushing.

Anything lower than final 4 and its crushing.

winning it all may set this as the greatest team of all time. We will see.

Hate to be Eyore here but we are Auburn. We can always find an extreme situation to frick it all up.

CBM
Double Dribble
Scooter Wreck
Chuma Okeke injury
4th and 31
FSU comeback

Our storied endings go both ways

And do I need to remind yall it took New Mexico State choking with 2 seconds left for our final four team to advance past the first weekend?

Just let me know when Randy is buying F4 tix. That's the ultimate test that JABA has yet to decode.

lol, I went in yesterday to see about buying tickets to the ATL regional with the hope/assumption we will be the #1 overall and get that region. Then I realized I was poor. Tickets were double what I paid for the FF in Minneapolis.
