Does it ever occur to anyone that these supposed in the know people are reading the same message board non sense as the rest of us? Someone in Caddie’s family reads it on a message board and then regurgitates it to a friend who then runs to a message board with Caddie’s family says.

I was responding to you saying this. If he’s your guy you end the other interviews, but you don’t make an announcement until after the season ends. Out of respect for your team and staff and his team and staff. No one announces they’ve hired someone else’s coach during the regular season. Maybe during bowl season but never during the regular season.

and if he's your guy you get on a plane and go meet him. No plane on the ground = no deal in hand. You're not flying an Auburn jet into New Orleans and it not immediately being posted about on this website. Have you seen any threads here or anywhere else involving Auburn's planes yet? No, you haven't. So until that happens, the "Sumrall has accepted the job" info people keep throwing out there is nothing more than wish casting and speculative BS. It's not grounded into any sort of reality. And no, Cohen and an entourage of support staff are not cramming into a Toyota Camry and making a 5 hour drive to New Orleans either. When Auburn makes a move, you will hear about it. Planes will be in the air and rumors will start flying. That's how it's always been

Knowing who we’ve hired recently, Sumrall would be an upgrade.
Like everyone else, I’ll support Auburn.
Coaches and players come and go.
Harsin and Freeze are the first coaches since Barfield not to have a 11 win season or an SEC title.
IF (and it’s a BIG IF) Sumrall is the guy and wins, we are done churning coaches for 25 years.
If not, we will hire another guy as soon as he fails.
This is all based on HOPIUM.
