I think Sumrall is hired and nows hes making the case for Tulane to not make the playoffs cause that would be a terrible distraction for his team.

There isnt a homerun this cycle that we know is open to moving. Sumrall has won more as a HC than Lane. UF better get ready for disappointment.

This guy is the HC at Tulane. If AU, UF or LSU wanted him today, they could have him today. None of those schools give a damn about Tulane's playoff aspirations. If he's your guy, you lock him down immediately. You don't let the season play out and allow him to field other offers. If he was Auburn's top choice, he'd have already been introduced as the HC.

That’s fair. I’d argue his lack of play calling diversity was the problem more so than going too fast.

You definitely end the interviews with other schools but you don’t make the announcement during the regular season. Especially when Tulane is actively trying to have its most successful season in history.

Why would you do this if you don't have an offer in hand and a contract signed? If I'm your guy, make me your guy. I'm not shutting down other opportunities and waiting a week and a half or 2 weeks for you to put a contract in front of me.
