Yes Cohen will be making the decision all by himself

I did too. Barfield did have one 8-3 season though. Right now 8-3 looks great.

I think Dilly is a stretch for Cohen. He just fricked up 2 hires and has to get this one right. Not saying Dilly or Summral won't fall in our lap but I highly doubt they are the top options on Cohen's list.

Words are important. He said he was the search committee. It would be all him.

I think in that sense, he will be out looking for the coach. Just him, not taking requests from PTB that, hey, go look at this guy or that guy.

But, if you think he just makes the decision to hire someone and they draw up the contract and get it done with out a thumbs up from certain people, I don't know what to say.

If 2 of the hottest young coaches in the game aren't at or near the top of the list then I am supremely curious.

We are too busy kicking our tires on expensive mediocrity like drinkfizz or the AARP man Kelly

Whos a better option than them that we realistically can get. If Cohen is willing to fork out top $$$ then maybe we can get expensive non-mediocrity, but I'm not sure he is.

Drinkwitz is already paid 9 million at Mizzou. He will be expecting a raise to come here. He is only slightly better than Gus. Based on career achievements he might not even be better than Gus.

We almost got lane last year and you know he was gonna get Kirby money. Hell I bet we were gonna make him the highest paid coach in the game fr. It was gonna come with a hefty price tag. That's 2 in the head to this "we ain't gonna pony up" argument.

If we are going to pay up we need to do so on a homerun. That's all I am saying. Paying up for a very average name is just another expression for highway robbery.

If Oregon gets left out of the playoff, Cohen should camp outside Lansing’s door with a huge check and make him say yes.

I bet Brohm is gonna cost alot. Louisville has no problem spending money on football and won't just let him walk. Drink is probably the only other guy that would fetch a price tag like that. Well Franklin but I don't buy the interest there. Ig Dilly. Idk how high ASU would go to keep him.

You cool paying Dilly 11-12 mil?

Personally I dont care if they overpay. What is 2-3 mil truly for these guys? So long as we dont get fricked on the buyout.

FWIW, Brian Daboll just got fired. The NY media has Lane near the top of the Giants interest list. (I personally doubt it, but take it fwtw).

The Mara family is notoriously uptight. I see Kiffin as an oil and water fit. It’s going to be interesting to see if the NY media pushes for him to get the job. (And Dart, for that matter.)

Knowing Cohen is on thin ice.... I think he exhausts all efforts on Lanning, Lane, Freeman etc..... when and if those fail then it's Summral Dilly Lashlee etc....

Just know if it is Dilly Dilly Summral etc.. Don't believe Cohen at the Presser when he says they were our number 1 target and the only guy we wanted
