Of course it’s Kodi. I can smell the JABA stank. This doesn’t move the needle much for me. Call me a pessimist but I feel like we bargain shopped and we will get those kind of results.

Honestly I’m just glad it wasn’t Durkin.

Consensus among rival fans on that thread is that we made a great hire.

The stunt that AU pulled on Harsin I think has really fricked the reputation of the football program among coaches. Everyone who doesn't wear orange and blue glasses knows exactly what happened with that whole debacle.

Probably and its not Auburns first time either.

His contract is similar to Sommeral, so I don’t think it’s a bargain hire. It’s highly incentivized, so it’s been what posters have wanted.

Just glad to be moving forward honestly. He was with Tennessee’s emergence from where we are now, to where we want to be. Let’s see what type of player retention we have (especially defense), and go from there. His offense should excite players, but we’ll see.

Kodi won’t be a play caller here. Position coach with a “assistant OC” title.

Golesh wants Hazle apparently.

Sumrall 7.5/yr at UF, Golesh 7.4/yr at Auburn. Can we conclude that Cohen definitely screwed the Sumrall deal by trying to force Durkin now?

No

I’d much rather have Golesh than Sumrall

Hey there’s good odds we bumblefricked our way into the best hire possible.

Guess we will see but nothing will surprise me about kodi to OC. Its the most auburn thing to do. Im with the contract being incentivized I just wanted Auburn one time in my lifetime to go hire a top notch coach where you don't have to do that this way. Ive got a better chance at going to the moon at this point.

Halzle would be a great hire. Dukes Scoopes said he had heard we were looking at him as OC. He is also their QB coach and he has coached up some good ones.

You mean that crafty Cohen was finishing up the bizness with Golesh and Golesh said Id like Halzle as a OC.....and Cohen said hold my beer Ill be right back.

So maybe Golesh wasnt making coffee for the coordinators but holding Cohen's beer so he could write some checks.

What is your problem with Kodi? Why is it such an Auburn thing to do?

How many former OC that were Auburn players have we had since Pat Sullivan? You act like its a common occurrence.

Maybe we should celebrate some of our own when they do well. Kodi has been coaching with this guy since he was at UT. If he thinks he would make a good OC, that's great. It won't be because he played at Auburn.

Some of you folks are weirdos.

I am willing to give Golesh a shot. I hope we don't have a revolt like Florida and Arky are planning for their hires.

All coaches not named Kirby are gambles. Dilly got wacked by Arizona and Lashlee got knocked out of the B-12 championship last night.

Would Sumrall be guaranteed to be a better coach than Golesh? I don't see how one can guarantee that.

Don't think that happened that way and imo it's a bit of a red flag to not to want an elite DC when one is available just to bring in your own guy. I think what soured the deal is how we've ran through coaches recently and our boosters reputations. So be it. We got ours

There’s a sticky about the new hire.

Move the talk to there now?
