Golesh continuing to look strong. We should talk to him.

We are more concerned with okra serving suggestions right now. Try it in Goulash sometime

That looks pretty good but I am a big texture man. Love them overdone and greasy

Listened to a podcast from Josh Pate and Cole Cubelic this AM. They asked the question, "Who wants the Auburn job?"

To be clear, the question was not "Who, in his right mind, would want the Auburn job?" Instead, they were saying that someone out there (at least one) wants the Auburn job above LSU, Florida, Arkie, Penn State et al and that strong consideration should be given to that/those candidate(s). Everyone else is just weighing one contract against another...what will LSU do for me? UF? Am I better served staying at Ole Miss?

I'm not advocating for or against any candidate(s), though it would seem very likely that Coach Durk would check that box. Obviously not the only important factor, but it's not one that will show up on a resume or in a win/loss record. To be clear, I would be happy with Lane, despite throwing some shade at him above.

Durk would be a lazy, shite hire that would land us back here again in 3 years

Sumrall wants the job

Durkin wants the job

Cohen loves the “edge” these guys coach with but above all else wants to hear their detailed plan to fix the offense

Our OL can run block fairly well

Some screens and draw plays will go a long way in getting pressure off of the QB

Tell me why I should be excited about Brohm?

Of the names mentioned, Brohm would be the best hire, IMO. He has a proven track record at the top level. Dude knows how to develop QB's and he knows O. Give me Brohm running the O and Durkin running the D. That would be scary for every opponent on our schedule.

We need to go get a guy that is coveted and open up the checkbook.

Sumrall shopping for Auburn during the season isn't thrilling. I want others coveting Sumrall.

Just going to put this out there Brian Stultz which is friends of Hugh and a guest of Auburnsports.com at the time shared that Hugh would crawl on broke glass for the job. Anybody can want the golden parachute.

I hope Sumrall wants the job for different reasons of course but I want his stock up and his trajectory high. He cant accomplish that with podcasts and speech. He has to do that on the field. He isn't doing that all of a sudden. He got whooped by a team that Golesh whooped

Yep, who wants the job the most should not be the consideration in any form.

I'm kinda coming around on your team Brohm if we could keep/get someone like Durkin as DC.

I wouldn't be upset with Sumrall, but he's always been a solid but not exciting hire to me. I'd kinda prefer Golesh over him, as we have seen his offense be very successful in the SEC very recently.

Here’s my only question on Brohm: If he comes to Auburn, why?

He’s a Louisville guy, got em playing well. Is a P4 team. If it’s about just salary, I’d be worried. If it’s that he thinks we’re a better football school and he can recruit and win more here, then strike up the band.

Probably both. It has been proven that if you leave Louisville, shite the bed elsewhere, they will bring you back. See Petrino. What does he have to lose?

SEC vs. ACC

Our NIL has to dwarf theirs

You have a chance at a NC here. Louisville, not so much.

I think Golesh is emerging as my preferred candidate. What he has done at USF compared to what he took over is very impressive, and he was awesome as OC at UT.

Granted, he is Russian so there's that factor too..

I'd rather have Sumrall. I'd prefer Brohm and Dilly before Sumrall. Golesh has Napier feel to me. I know he beat Florida, but in fairness so have several other people.

Brohm's DC Ron English is a helluva coach in his own right.

Top 25 Ds at Purdue and Louisville

We wouldn't miss DJ for long

With Arky making their hire, does Bobby P come in to play at all?
