Then we can spot one a fricking country mile down the road. If there's one thing Auburn fans know, it's shite shows...

Yes. In today's market, Sumrall is going to get that from us or someone.

Why does anyone care? We’ve already proven we’ll pony up enough cash to fire coaches whenever.

Yeah the dollar amount is silly. Everyone melting about DJ, would you rather our AD save a million or two a year or get the guy they want? The market is beyond stupid but the market is what the market is.

I don't really care about the annual. If the guy is worth it he'll prove it or we'll move on, it's the ridiculous buyouts that need to go.

Yeah I don’t understand the convo on pay rate. Heck James Franklin just got 8.2MM from a second rate ACC school. If we can’t pony up more than that for the guy we seem to really want this cycle then what are we even doing?

Yeah it’s not my money, I don’t care. The market has been reset lately. Drink and Kiffin were both making around 8.5-9 prior to this. So 8-9 seems right. Again, I don’t care it’s not my money. Just get the guy. Especially when the backup is DJD.

When you have the right guy, money is going to come in regardless.

I’ve seen come comments about keeping Durkin and firing him in 3 years. That’ll be a lot more expensive than just paying an extra 2 a year for the guy you want.

Exactly!!!! And even if Sumrall sucks. At least we tried to go after someone who is desirable from many competing schools and widely considered a hit up and comer.

Move of the year - Golesh telling Ark hold up.

Finna to get paid by UF, Ole Miss or Ark. The scramble and the bidding war will be glorious.

I would give more credit to LSU if they get Kiffin, but the $56MM to Kelly will make a future impact.

Isn't Gainesville like one of the highest crime college towns? I'd rather raise my kids in Auburn.

Freeze was an attempt to go cheap, and how much did that end up costing us total in under 3 years? Spend a little more upfront to save alot later in buyouts. Trust the guy you pay all that money to run what you hired him to run, and be there in a support role. Don't insinuate he's too dumb to make staff hires. Hire him, get out of the way. Sounds simple, but so hard for us to understand. Like someone else said, bunch of really dumb smart guys running the show

LOL.. I want a guy that is young and hungry and these buyouts are a problem....but pay whatever ..... $10MM - 12MM doesn't matter.

You're always going to have to sign a guy to 5 years at any point in time.

You are correct. Gainesville was listed as having the highest crime rate per capita. Tuscaloosa came in second.
