Holy cow this is insane if true. I can’t believe it’s happening again

I noticed he got on really fast tonight and started spinning for his buddy Cohen.
Mike G always has an agenda.

don’t believe they think that Sumrall is 5-6 mill a year better than Durkin.
He's probably not, but there are more than 2 possible candidates in college football. And most of those potential coaches haven't sucked terribly as a head coach like Durkin did.

Can we fire Cohen and start the coaching search all over?

It’s crazy to think this exact same shite happened to us 3 years ago
We are fixing to get Cohen'd again.
Not surprising when you consider the source/culprit.

I saw this disaster coming 2 weeks ago. I took quite a bit of heat for stating the obvious.

I'm 90% certain that he is being used as a mouthpiece to spread opinions that the AD wants the normie fans to buy into.
The guy starts a podcast and within a handful of years he is interviewing Cohen and given press credentials to cover the team. I'm convinced that he was told to sell the idea of Durkin as the HC to the fanbase so that they could easily pivot that way and not face too much backlash if Sumrall didn't materialize.

I'm curious what his golden parachute looks like.
Not trying to be political, but Cohen has always seemed to be an odd fit for Auburn. He and his family seems a little too progressive for one of the more conservative schools in the SEC.
I know a lot of MSU folks were happy when we hired him away. I think I understand why.

He's the perfect dude to do it. He has no credibility to ruin because has none and he is the player's advocate that can stress the most critical aspect to making a hire: roster retention.
We gotta make a 5 year hire based on what the upcoming juniors want to see done.

If Auburn doesn’t make a hire that will put us in the top 1/3 of the SEC go ahead and shutdown the program. It’s a waste of time and resources… I’ve always said, anything worth doing is worth doing right the first time. The alumni base has been yanked around for a decade with poor hires and mismanagement..,

He is a baseball hick. I don't think his politics, or having a trans kid is the problem. I think hiring shitty coaches is his problem.

That is exactly what is happening. He started pushing Durkin weeks ago talking about how the players love him and roster retention.

I'm not sure if he's the AD's mouth piece, but someone is in his ear. Remember what I said about his claim that all candidates had agreed to Faulkner as OC?
From me

My only question now is did the Faulkner story get leaked as a trial balloon or did someone leak it to blow up this sham coaching search?
from that point forward this entire thing fell apart spectacularly

The propaganda is not working.
The AD appears more and more shortsighted and less organized.

I never said Mike G. was always correct, just that i put more stock into what he had to say than a lot of others. However, I can admit if i'm wrong, but more or less that none of the talking heads seem to know shite. I do believe the national guys, like metafour says has no reason to drum up clicks, so a lot more trustworthy.
