Whether it’s his choice or not, what do you think?

I don't think it's very high. Unless he and his family just haven't jived with living in the community or in the south in general. I've heard rumblings of that being the case but I'm not sure how much stock I put into that.

Maybe a slight hijack and I apologize in advance, but does anyone know the buyout details of his contract if he were to leave AU after the first season? I remember seeing it somewhere and think it was a pretty high dollar value that decreased significantly over time. I know if UW were to hire him, they would more than likely take care of that for him, but would that give them pause if the amount is pretty big?

I have said you make lane/hugh freeze say no.

Lane is always flirting with other jobs so maybe not him.

I imagine hugh freeze wants his second chance at big time football again.

I think there's a higher chance he bolts than people realize. I have always been concerned about whether he felt he fit.

I like Harsin. I'm willing to give this entire staff 3 to 4 years to change things around.

A guy born in Boise, went to college in Boise, and was a successful head coach in Boise...now getting stomped in a small college town in Alabama.

Yeah, I’d say he and his family are going to have a difficult adjustment.

The ENTIRE staff? Because I can think of two coordinators that need to be shown the door today.

Us jumping into the coaching search this season would be bad.

I like Harsin too and I'm not ready to fire him yet, but this is crazy talk. We've gotten worse as the season as went along. Coaching across the board is down.. Other than Bo I don't think I've seen a single position play better than they did last year. Literally no one on this staff should be safe in the off season.

Our expectations were too inflated. We were relying on a UAB/Utah State transfer on the DL. Vandy and FCS transfer at S. Our LBers have been average this year. Regardless what we think of Harsin, we can't really evaluate him until we have P5 players. We can critique his recruiting now, but we suck on the field regarding talent. Outside of Tank, no one else on our offense would start for the top 8 in the SEC.

Because we insisted on forcing this defensive scheme instead of playing to out strength.

Goes back to the scheme again. We are playing 2 undersized LBs.. by playing only 3 DL most of the time it allows the OL to easily climb up to them and block them. We have 220lb LBs taking on 300lb OL.

Do we have holes in this roster? Absolutely. Not the the point where we are as bad as we've played this year. Outside of Chiz last year, this is the worst coached Auburn team that I have ever seen.

Can't argue with you on concepts. But my point stands, FCS/Conference USA talent won't win games. You can't out work SEC teams. Harsin will fail if he doesn't adjust and starts recruiting

ETA

JABA: Harsin will take UW and we will promote Bobo or hire Tom Herman.

This team eerily reminds me of the 2008 team. Looks like they are forcing schemes onto unsuited players. Talent gaps are closed up with other teams.

I have watched more football this year than last year but I would bet that Gus would have won 8 or 9 with this same team. This team looks disjointed and out of whack with the coaching staff.

Beyond tiresome with the comparisons

Most wanted him gone, he’s gone

Lots of fans blamed Bo for most things on offense, he’s gone

Tiresome

Yea this team would be bad bad under Gus too. It doesn’t matter. We are bad right now. All that matters.
