Yes and Gus immediately won the SEC and took us to the NC and damn near won that.

We just let him hang around too long.

Yep, we just need to recruit and play competently and over time we’ll chip into our rivals’ successes. Smart’s build was not overnight.

UGA is poised to do very well in the NIL era.

1. Only school of consequence in the State. (Tech) is similar to UAB in the State.

2. Huge economic driver in Atlanta

3. Best high school football in America.

I don’t like them but they have staying power.

We may be their hard game next year.....

... 3peet's probably not too unreasonable.

That’s not even close to true. Tech has been doing quite well in the portal too. I would’ve been very worried if they would’ve hired Prime.

Tech has much more potential than UAB, absolutely no question the ceiling is much higher

Tech has also been a worse football team than UAB for a few seasons now, FWIW

Why would AU hire a guy who had played at UGA and been a assistant coach at bama?

Nothing good could have come from that!!

I don't remember much support for the Kirby rumors, but maybe I'm miss remembering.

Their schedule is garbage. We get them at home, but unless they somehow regress with a new QB, I don't see how we beat them. They'll just reload again. Hopefully we can get to that point over the next few years.

Tennessee is probably the only team capable of beating them.

It's time to get used to them being in the NC conversation every year for the foreseeable future.

They're the Vegas favorite for next season.

They play the softest schedule in the country next year too

Never imagined he'd go anywhere else but UGA.

Kirby would not have had the resources or synergies he has coaching at his alma mater. He’s a great coach, but easily could’ve ended up as a slightly better Muschamp here with top 10 talent instead of top 3 talent.

I like it too, but I doubt Smart would have had the same success at Auburn.

He found the perfect fit for him. We just need to hope our current coach is a good fit for us. Recruiting wise, it looks like we are on starting to get on the right path but have a long way to go.
