I can't imagine why anyone would travel and spend thousands of dollars to come watch a game and support this crap. This is the new norm.

The direction of the program changed when Harsin was hired. Ever since then, it has been a total shite show. No highs at all.

AU is the 15th program in SEC despite easily being in the top half of spending.
Arkansas is worse, but they are also 16th in spending.

And just think, Harsin and Freeze both got to 6 wins and a bowl game their first season. Neither of them had a 5th year "record breaking" QB like Golesh has. I think we will beat Vandy and Arkansas this season and finish 5-7 overall and 2-7 in conference play.
Seeing first year SEC coaches, Jon Sumrall and Will Stein at Kentucky, go on the road and win in hostile environments just sucks. Add to that, Stein's road win was against the #9 ranked team.

Lanier is right though. He said we're last in wins since 2021 and we are. We have gone 29-36 since the start of 2021. That is tied with Vanderbilt for dead last amongst all 16 SEC schools. Vandy has beaten us the last 2 seasons so that pretty much makes us the worst SEC program overall since 2021. Arkansas is 30-36 during that time.
We are also the only SEC school to not have atleast an 8 win season since 2020. Our most wins in a year since 2020 is 6. Florida has had two 8 win seasons since 2020. The other 14 SEC schools all have atleast one 9 win season since 2020.

When is the last time it even felt like we were seeing any progress or had even a glimmer of hope. I think it was when Harsin’s first team destroyed Arkansas early in the season before his tenure took a turn against PSU. It’s been dreadful since.

Golesh better be finding a QB for next year’s team right now. If he trots out some bum we have currently behind BB, we are fricking cooked and so is he. Auburn is staring down the barrel of 4-8 right now.

This right here is the issue. When was the last time Auburn had a qb that was in the top half of the SEC just? Probably Nix, and half you idiots on here chased him off because he wasn’t an all American his freshmen year.
Auburn doesn’t appear to be able to spend to buy a top Qb, so we need to work on developing younger guys and stop bringing in washed up 6th year guys from other programs.
ETA: fwiw it wasn’t our issue yesterday and may not be the main issue this year. It was our defensive front 7 last night.

We hired two of the worst AU football coaches in program history back to back. Nether had any network or tried to establish one with local HS programs. This will take time.

Our QBs haven't been good but the OL has been the primary issue for the last decade and until it gets fixed nothing is going to change.
