Walker Kessler - UNC

Hooks45 states that he's unhappy at UNC and may be down to AU and Gonzaga. Assuming AU would be the choice, who would not be asked back?
Franklin? He doesn't play much and is a Jr. Cardwell isn't going anywhere. Stretch is supposed to be a great teammate and is more of a banger and different type of player. That may alter the McEachern pipeline as well. IIRC Kessler is a stretch five. Anyone else? With the two signees do we actually have to lose four if Kessler were to come in? I suppose it would be three since Turbo already hit the exit.
I sometimes still can't believe I'm discussing AU basketball in this fashion.

If everyone returns and the 2 commits qualify we will have the full allotment of 13 so someone would have to go. I don't like speculating on that type of thing so I'll leave it to others

He's too agressive obviously, but that can be changed with coaching & experience. He is a turnover machine right now, but if he makes a similar jump next year as this year and can eliminate the traveling and needless charging fouls he recieves, then he's an All-SEC type player. I'm also assuming he won't be logging PG minutes next year either.
He's also one of those tweeners that Pearl has recruited through his entire career and has stated they're match-up nighmares on both ends of the floor.

My cousin has good connections with insiders for basketball. He said there is rumblings about Walker Kessler trying to make the transfer. The processed player(s) would likely be Javon Franklin and/or Stretch if it was to happen.
Other news Scoot should commit soon(unsure on when). If Rife goes pro, then Scoot will reclassify to this class.

After Kessler's recent success on the court, and increased playing time...I don't see him being unhappy anymore and wanting to transfer. IMO.

The only reason why he played is because the players got caught at a COVID party. There were things that Roy Williams mislead Walker Kessler on during the recruiting process. I wasn't told the exact reasoning but playing time wasn't the full reasoning.

Fun story, so I was in San Diego for a wedding during the Final 4. Wedding was actually starting as the game was finished, so I was in the back row watching it on my phone with no sound. I had a mini freak out when the shot missed, then pure confusion until I realized a foul had been called.
So the next day, me and Ms. LCT have a bunch of time before our flight out, so we went up to La Jolla, and I wore my Bo Jackson AU baseball jersey. Never in my life did I expect to get so many "Y'all got screwed" comments.
Only thing that made it worse was there was a family of UVA fans on our return flight to Dulles.

Your info turned out to be solid.
WIll be interesting to see if he thinks Pearl's offense is a good one for him.
If Kessler can shoot the 3, and play outside the post, then we have a chance to get him.

Chatter seems to be it could be us, but Gonzaga is in the lead right now. Someone mentioned he talked to Powell and cooled a bit on us which put Zags on top for now.

Powell is a 3 star that nobody but Bryce wanted and he gave him the opportunity to start at point guard and showcase skills that will likely allow him an opportunity to transfer anywhere. Hopefully he’s not talking shite. Would be laughable if so
