Urban loves him some Bo Nix

Meyer said. “This guy is a multi-purpose -- we loved him at the beginning of last year. I think the step between a first-year and second-year starter -- the difference is phenomenal … Bo Nix is a football guy from a football family, and at a heck of a program. I’ve got him in my top 5. I think Auburn is going to be right there.

May be the only time I've ever liked something that douche said.

He knows football. He just doesn't have character nor does he understand how to find a persons character.
I expect Bo to make a big leap as well but not sure it will show up much if the pass pro isn't there. A lot depends on the OL as it does for most QBs

dang Bo is superman to do all that with a torn ACL.
I expect Bo to get better hopefully not having a spring will not slow that down at all.

I'd rather have Chizik again.

Don't think Auburn fans will appreciate a coach that cries with his offensive line after getting his butt kicked.
Crier Meyer ...it all started when he was coaching Florida.

I hope Nix’s accuracy has improved. That was his biggest issue last year. Plenty of arm strength.

I thought it was an Auburn board fact that QBs cannot improve accuracy?

I think his pocket presence is where he needs the most work. I don't hold it totally against because our OL was not very good and there were plenty of times he had a right to be jumpy but he also bails way too quickly way too often.

But he also wasn't standing there and getting clobbered like Stidham

He was better than Stidham for scrabbling, but mainly he is quicker than Stidham.
I agree with the previous poster, than there were times when the edge was contained by the Tackle, but Nix still felt he was going to be sacked and rushed around the end, when he really had time to stay in the pocket and find other receivers.

I think Nix is going to be awesome.
His main issue last year was that from day 1, he didn't even remotely trust our offensive line. Probably for good reason. But it led to some bad quarterbacking at times. One way or another he has to get over that this year because it might not be any better.

Agree with all of this.

I’d rather win.... or shutter the program entirely...
