Many AU fans - aka AU graduates, live in the Atlanta area (as do I).

I have come to the conclusion that UGa has a horrible side walk fan base that is worse than Bama’s.

How many of you Atl AU grads feel the same? Is it more important to beat the dogs over the tide?

It’s getting close for me...another year...we need this weeks game bad....

As someone who lives in Alabama and goes to school in Georgia:

Georgia fans are the absolute worst and it's not close.

UGA fans are the worst. At least Bama fans have something to stand behind.
2010 literally broke them and they have never gotten over it.

Having grown up in GA this one is easy for me. uga and the fans suck. My brother in law's brother is responsible for one of the top 20 plays in uga history and I hate seeing my BIL anytime but it is really painful after a loss.

I don't know if it's worse but living here it definitely seems that way. Hard to say it's more important than the Iron Bowl but it might be (this year).

Lived in Atl 6 or 7 years right after AU.

Tough call on which is worse. I had no idea UGA fans were that bad until moving to Atl in the early 2000's.

I think there is a tremendous amount of jealousy from 2010 and a lot of it might have been watching auburn go while richt sputtered away. With richt gone they seem different in general, much more at ease. They're all afraid of the auburn game and aren't sold yet, I keep asking what auburn they're referring to??

I'm also finding a lot of decent kids going to Georgia especially with the 45k price tag to go out of state to Auburn now making it impossible to justify. We probably have lost a lot of would be kids to one of the 50 Georgia colleges.

The really difficult a-hole Georgia fans I meet are just the aggressive white trash 50 year olds who want to race any car where 2 lanes become 1. They're just shitty people to begin with and probably have their identity wrapped up in what a 20 year kid does on the field. It also helps to move into a wealthier neighborhood, then you really don't see uga fans anymore.

I think it's a push with Alabama fans. 40-60 year old women fans of Bama seem to be straight garbage. Alumni seem to be non existent. They all cheer for Bama because their daddy did. The coeds at Bama do seem to be getting more attractive as the run continues, before they just had those two chicks with the heavy thighs in Bear Bryant hats.

I came from a ghetto in Virginia.

I can say I watched Allen Iverson win a state championship in football. As the QB. All before Vick came around.

as I say on a daily basis.........frick UGA and their fans!

I grew up a few doors down from some serious UGA fans. They bought their dogs from the Uga line. Some of the biggest douches I have ever been around.

Fair enough. GA redneck is different from a NC/VA redneck. Poor mill villages in GA are worlds apart from coastal VA poverty.. Get your views. In my neighborhood I put out an AU flag and my new neighbor didn't even know what it was. I have asked him to stay off my property ) Luckily he and his wife just use the place on the weekends until she retires and even then we still have plenty of buffer space.

Most of the UGA fans I know in the SWGa area know I went to Auburn so it looks really silly when they talk trash to me about a school when they’ve never set foot on the campus of said school. What’s even worse is most don’t realize is the drive from here to Auburn is 1/2 as long as the drive to Athens. When I tell them Auburn is 30 mins from the Phx City/Columbus line they look completely dumbfounded.
