Well that's kinda awkward. I suppose Harsin interviewed more than one candidate so maybe he just hops on the phone with #2?

Should give us positive pub either way. CTR if he stays can obviously coach and CBH if he leaves that he can hire a solid staff.

2nd straight time our new HC loses an assistant to the NFL before coaching a game

The timing sucks. All college coaches have pretty much settled in for next season, so we're probably gonna be stuck pulling a no-name from a G5 school.

Or maybe we can pull a fired NFL d-line coach.

Why does Pete Thamel seem to have all the inside info on AU nowadays?

He’s broken almost everything in CFB recently. He had UT’s firing of Pruitt before anyone too

Hopefully it will aslo dispel Brannigan's silly notion that Rocker is nothing but an "effort" coach. The NFL doesn't hire effort coaches twice with two different franchises. They hire coaches who can coach. Assuming Rocker takes the job, I wonder if Brumbaugh is being considered? He's got plenty of two gap/3-4 experience. Stoops at UK really liked him. Being an AU alum is a bonus but I'd say the same if he weren't.

CB doesn’t like many DL coaches. I wouldn’t get too wrapped up in his criteria

He was underwhelming to say the least as the Titans DL coach... good luck to him... he’s not much of a loss IMO.

Their new DC doesn't seem to think so. They were on the same staff with the Titans.

He's a good coach and you can see now that the NFL fits his personality better. The problem is that it's hard to "stay" in the NFL. This was kinda boring hire from the beginning, but he would have helped here with the young players we have on the DL.
