Exactly, why any of us would expect different from him is delusional.

Or of anyone else for that matter. Bigger payday less stress (see recruiting) and who else wouldn't do it at their job unless they had other reasons to stay. He will probably double his pay.

Glad to hear harsin told him this. TR has held 8 jobs in 12 years. His only loyalty is to himself.

I wouldn’t put any trust into what an anonymous message board poster says was recited during a conversation they were certainly not at

There are a few guys on this board with a nice imagination and probably a little too much time on their hands. The 247 board has a whole thread that’s essentially a circle jerk of posters narrating their fantasy responses to Rocker giving Auburn a chance to match his Eagles offer. It’s a sad thread to read

This whole loyalty thing is overplayed.

Getting a chance to further your career with a promotion and pay raise is something very few would be foolish enough to turn down.

The same people griping about loyalty will be the first to demand he is shown the door if the team underperforms in a year.

Those same dipshits will probably start tweeting at Harsin to hire TWill as DL coach.

Ive done this with jobs in the military. When those career-enhancing or second chance job opportunities open up that dont come around often, you take them. You tell whoever sorry and you go. He can always come back to Auburn later in life if a position opens up when/if he gets tired of the rat race. If he does well this time, maybe he thinks he can move up the ladder at the highest level. Hes a hungry guy, its a good thing.

Besides, we know what he brings to the table. Im ready for more fresh blood. Maybe this opens the door for an up-and-comer who can both teach technique and has a lot of energy to recruit. Theres a lot of people out there that just need the chance, the right break. The chance to coach DL at Auburn with Mason as DC on an intriguing staff going up against SEC QBs is quite the lure no matter what program someone is at or even just joined.
