Gotta love second half adjustments. Pearl outcoached Oregon’s HC tonight. Great sign for the future.

This. Been impressed with his second half adjustments two games in a row, particularly defensively.

Lil Pearl has a new, fresh tenacity. Bruce is the GOAT of GOATs, but I just gotta feeling this nepotism is gonna work out nicely

I feel better about this team. Oregon is a good team and when we needed to we locked them down. Michigan is a step up in competition so we're going to have to be able to play at that level the whole game.

Wasn’t sure when Pett fouled out but it was good to see them be able to close it out without him on the floor.

Good win. Getting as many as we can get with these solid competition non- SEC games is crucial.

This team seems to have ball handlers.

SWA, Freeman, Hall, Overton, Jovic all have good length and can dribble/pass/shoot.

We threw a couple of entry passes to sideline/corner against the press, but that can be cleaned up.

Free throw shooting was better last night. 19 for 23.

Three point shooting, not so much. 5 for 23.

A win without a great shooting night is good.

SP is definitely a different demeanor than BP but the in-game coaching is good. Though it does still feel like some are still figuring out their roles, this team appears to be coming together. Even beyond the play and win, I loved seeing the postgame interview with the team mugging for the cameras. You can tell these guys really respect SP and are just having fun together.

This may be our most athletic team but we definitely have holes in the backcourt and d rebounding. Gonna need Taahd and Hall healthy all yr.

Overton had the worst NET rating of all players on both teams that entered the game last night. (-5.0)

The only other starter with a negative rating was Murphy (-0.7)

And there's this...

Those two are going have to be great. And play heavy minutes. Could start to see bigger lineups with Freeman or even Hall getting some run at the 2 as well.

He missed some decent looks but I didn't think Overton played poorly overall. We do need Magwood to step up and be able to give us double digit minutes though. He can give good minutes offensively but he still is getting lost too much defensively. That would give us a solid 8 man rotation with Hall being able to play both the 3 and 4 then if we can get something out of Walker, Bashir or Opurum that would be icing

I would love for Walker to be servicable defensively. Having a dead eye shooter with tahaad and Hall slashing feels like an ideal lineup

Magwood has a loooonnnnggg way to go defensively still but starting to see improvement.
