This.
Freeze hasn’t had much of an opportunity to do anything development-wise. It’s been all about stocking the cupboard.
Next year is when his seat heats up if we don’t see improvement.

Our Offense
OL is inconsistent
QB is not nearly as good an athlete as he thinks he is
QB tries to be a hero when he is closer to a zero
Special teams
Can't someone kick a field goal?

O-line is bad.
Thorne is trying to do too much. What’s behind him is worse.

Towns was supposed to be the backup this year.

Some are here and none look any better today than they did for game one. There's zero development,
Can't see the wide receivers progress when the qb regresses and we have to make a philosophical change to the offense.

Only in your pea brain does losing a different way equate to being a better way to lose. Auburn and its fan have a loser mentality now and it’s hard to stomach. No reason to try something different? So Hank through four in a game and how many has Peyton thrown since? How many has he fumbled? I’d say your argument was valid if we weren’t able to take the approach of letting Peyton figure it out as being okay. Why not let Hank try the same? When we lose all our recruits and are sucking again at least you can be happy we kept Thorne out there.

If we're not gonna show the recruits wins we gotta show them development. At this point if I'm hugh I'm reverting back to the offense from the first six games. Tell thorne frick it. Do what you want. Throw the ball 30 times a game. If we lose bc PT threw 3 picks but Cam and Malcolm both get to go out there and make plays, I think that goes a long way with the recruits. I don't want anymore of this 3 yard designed jarquez hunter run bullshite. The offensive line isn't good enough. Go out there and move the ball. Make it exciting. Let the kids watch something that makes them go "shite I wanna do that". We know thorne can do that. He's made good throws, he's moved the ball. That's known. We don't know if hank can do that.

3 middle runs and a kick there might have helped secure a win.
Football is hard.
We failed to take advantage of mostly good field position.

come on Pete. That ball to robert lewis was perfect over the shoulder and he let it slip between his arms. That was the game right there.
No way did he have to wait on it or the defender defending, he just flat out missed the ball.
And that 14 yard sack, what the fck was he supposed to do, he had half a dozen guys up in his grill.
Some of the runs, he didnt "call his number" it was the better of two bad options.
Thorne did not lose this one, bad playcalling and missed assignments.
And I am getting sick of Hugh making a shitty play call and then bitching at Thorne when he comes to the sideline. Really getting old that childish behaviour.

If we did that, I would be excited. We won't though. We will talk about needing to use our awesome running back more. And we will ignore everything else.

You must be confused, I’m am probably the #2 Hugh hater on the board behind Scoper. I blame everything on Hugh.

Idk what freeze is gonna do. Im afraid he's lost. The gameplan for next week will do alot to shape my long term thoughts about him.

I mean, you gotta take what the defense us gonna give you. A couple games from earlier in the season (Cal and OU stand out) we should have run Jarquez down their throats. Their front 7 were not the strength of their defense yet we threw the ball and got it picked off the whole time against Cal and at the worst possible time against OU. UGA and Mizzou are very good up front against the run and we decide to go pretty balanced against both of them. OL had played decent, relative to the past 4 or 5 years, until the past two games. They failed to take advantage of the OL playing well and mauling people in the run game (watch Wright in the OU and Arkansas games) and have just gotten absolutely whipped against the two best fronts we have played in UGA and Missouri.
There's just zero identity from this team right now.

Agreed the buck stops with Freeze..
But that missed pass by Lewis was just heartbreaking, Thorne getting the shat beat out of him, throws a beautiful ball.....and whats the point, they either run the wrong route, gator arm it, or just flat out miss it.
Im just hoping we have a good culture council meeting, that otta fix it.

In my post I was talking about the miss to Coleman right at the end. Next to last play maybe.

And you're complaining about the team that had an identity. We ran the ball so well bc of the RPO. Bc we were taking what the defense gave to us just like you said. So many people are arguing against the RPO while they're actually arguing for it and don't even realize it. That's what Hugh does best and we should let him fricking do it.
Mizzou got gashed by a&m in the run game btw

This is what I don't understand. When I said they trot out crazy personnel for must have plays. Why the hell isn't simmons out there instead of Robert Lewis? He's dropped a ton of passes but yet he's still on the field. They finally pulled Percy lewis out after 2 games in a row of literally blocking no one. Are they so afraid of trying someone else when the starter if freakin up everything? Our tight ends can't block or catch. Defense is trying to blow everyone up instead of wrapping up, the receivers cant catch a pass unless it literally hits them dead between the numbers. This is all fundamental and coaching. How can anyone say "they haven't had time to develop anyone?" It's game 7 and they are still doing this. As far as I know freeze and his staff have been coaching since last season....zero change in the way they are playing.

We watched the same Thorne and offense? The only time I’ve seen anything remotely close to what you described was Alabama A&M and maybe New Mexico.
