We have a pretty below average wide receiver corps and marginal offensive line. Thorne isn't it, but I don't know that there is an "it" this season.

This is the pain and reality of having a first year head coach. Gus spoiled us in 2013. Even Chizik had a quick turnaround.
But Harsin practically destroyed our program. Weak recruiting. Soured relationships with regional high school coaches. Poor locker room morale. I can’t imagine how bad it would be if Carnell didn’t get a chance to reinstall some Auburn magic.
It’s going to take time. I think Hugh can do it, but can Auburn fans wait 2-3 seasons to see the results?

Surprised he didnt air mail it. He needs it, he is now 8-18 on the year.
WR have got to do better, too many drops or missed routes. Thorne did good today and is getting better in the offense.

He was better for sure and settled in as the game went on. But the reality is the offense doesn’t operate well with him, whether it’s him playing bad or the WRs sucking.
We can’t say for certain that it wouldn’t be any better with Ashfrod in because we haven’t seen it. But what good is it if your throwing QB settles in if the WRs drop 1/3 of the passes?
All we can do at this point is hope things click somehow (whether that’s figuring out the passing game or building a running offense with Ashfrod that takes deep shots) and then hope recruits see how much better they are than what we currently have and decide to come play early.

This. And we can run it with TWO QBS!

There is no reason to believe we would be better with Ashdod’s. Was he good last year? This year?

Receivers didnt help him a bit but that dude just wont get rid of the ball. Its infuriating watching him crumble back there and constantly lose 8 yards. Im not saying the offensive line helped either but he has to know the rush is coming from that Georgia Dline and have a short clock in his head. He has played quarterback long enough to know that.

Auburn fans make it a sport to criticize the starting QB, including Stidham and Bo. I also do not understand the Ashford love, he is a below 50 percent passer. The only game we won with Robbie was the TAMU game last year and that was won 14-10.
This was a step forward for the Thorne, the offense, the team and the program. It showed recruits we just need them to become something special. Reminds me of a similar games in Dyes first year. Even Kirby commented on our fans. The future is brighter. The potato famine is over, and we all need to move forward, together.

The fanbase is so traumatized by Harsin and the last years of Gus they don't know how to see the positive changes taking place. When Kirby took over Georgia they were a joke. He hit the recruiting trail and changed that though. Hugh freeze is bringing in the kids who will make a difference if we can just hold on for another season or two.

Thorne could be better, but it's hard to do much as a QB when your receivers either run wrong routes or don't catch it.
On one pass that Thorne missed, he was pissed. You could tell he was yelling at WR for running wrong route. It's shite like this that happens too often. When Thorne does make a play, WRs screw up. When WRs do it right, Thorne can't get ball to them (often because O line is letting people tee off).
shite just ain't clicking as a whole.

I have trashed Thorne with the best of them. He played well yesterday. Our WR's are garbage. Fairweather is the only one who is dependable.

I say we rock with Robby after the break. Thorne did some really good things in the run game, but if we are going to use the Qb to run, lets just rock with Robby. Thorne has not shown he can win with his arm; however, Robby has proven we can win with his legs.
Robby in Red Stick versus a wounded LSU? Dare I say, Back to Back @ LSU?

Yes, and he got it out quickly which gave Battie a chance to almost pick up the 1st down. Instead of watching Throne double pump a screen that gives time for the defense to get there and tackle him for no gain.
